Day 1 (Recorida and Distribution of Flyers)

Ken Robinson quoted that “All the children start their school careers with sparkling
imaginations, fertile minds, and willingness to take risks with what they think.”
Though the whole country is still in the track of fighting against this uncertainty, the
Department of Education had prepare educators as they are considered the
propellers in guiding young minds to be a well-rounded individual in the making. The
Bayanihan para sa Paaralan, with the slated date from August 03 to September 30,
2021, is one of the timely epitome in showing to the learners, parent’s, guardians,
stakeholders that amidst COVID 19 pandemic, the administration, head, faculty and
staff in the Department of Education as the frontliners of education are ready to take
the challenge in providing an inclusive education that our learners deserved.
The Malagana National High School of Claveria Northeast District, headed by Mrs.
Anna Marie G. Aguiman, school-in-charged started the Brigada Eskwela through the
series of activity such as Recorida and Distribution of flyers. The recorida started
from the respective school (Malagana NHS) heading to the following barangays and
sitios; Barangay DG Pelaez, Parmbugas, Sitio Landing, Sitio Puntol and Barangay
Malagana respectively. The recorida routed in the above-mentioned places because
most of the learners of Malagana National High School was currently residing in the
said barangays and sitios. It was such a great opportunity as well for the teachers of
Malagana National High School to communicate somehow with the parent’s,
guardians of learners as to the preparation of the school for the upcoming opening of
classes. Teachers received frequently asked question about the face-to-face
classes, and teachers respond professionally by giving hope to the dear parents of
the learners. The recorida activity of Malagana National High School has strictly
abide with the IATF Protocol such as wearing of face masks at all times, maintained
the 2 meter social distancing in accordance as well with the LGU Health protocol to
mitigate the spread of virus.

DAY 2 (Orientation of Stakeholders; The PNP)


The Brigada Eskwela initiated by the Department of Education is a way to help the
school improve the services to the students as they are the primary clienteles of the
school. Faculty and Staff of Malagana National High School has worked hand in
hand to produce a good learning environment to the students even if the platform for
learning is modular distant learning.
This day, as part of Brigada Eskwela, the school welcome the Malagana Police
Patrol Base headed by Police Lt. Elpidio Boniao, as they are ready to render a
voluntary labor to fix the necessary phase of the school that needs improvement
reconstruction. The Malagana National High School admin and faculty are ecstatic to
the laborious time and effort they manifested to the school despite of their busy
schedule. The implementation of Brigada Eskwela with the said stakeholders
formally opened with a simple program. Mr. Mark Anthony Ilajas, Teacher I from
Junior High School Department, spearheaded the program. Meanwhile, Mr. Romy
Jan Amarga, the ICT Coordinator illuminated the visitors of Brigada partners about
the Modular Distant Learning platform for learning thereby benefited the parents as
they listened. We were also enlightened to hear some kind and motivating words
from the head of PNP Malagana Patrol Base Pol. Lt. Elpidio Bonia about his journey
and experiences in rendering services every Brigada Eskwela take off.
Indeed, it was a fruitful and powerful collaboration of Malagana National High School
Faculty and Staff together with the stakeholders and Brigada Partners to regain the
beauty of the school. The school is forever grateful to the time, effort and special
skills our Brigada partners they’ve bestowed for a conducive and safe for the
learners, faculty and staff.
DAY 3 (Pahina with 4PS members Parents/Guardians)
When we talk about the stakeholders in education, it is merely composed of families,
school administrators, and the communities, and all can play a vital role in inclusive
learning environment. The school, Malagana National High School was filled with
volunteers, 4ps members, and parents in accordance with their schedule. The
Pahina activity of the school strictly followed the Health Protocol as as they were
divided to avoid crowds and for the safety purposes as well. To be exact, in
connection to subdividing the group, 4Ps members in the morning were assigned
near the open area of Grade 7 and Grade 8, while in the afternoon parents who are
not recipient of the said program and other volunteers were assigned at open area
near Admin Building which includes all areas including Senior High School Building.
Our volunteers showed their skills in roofing, repainting, landscaping, and repairing
of ceilings and fixing other school facilities for a conducive Malagana National High
School environment.
Meanwhile, the school administrators together with the teaching force are all eyed to
the growing of enrollment aiming to surpass the previous number of enrollees. ICT
Coordinator Mr. Romy Jan Amarga was very prompt in disseminating information as
to the updates of LIS and to the things needed to be done by the respective
advisers. In order to surpass the previous enrollment, respective advisers were
restless in tracking their students to fast-track the enrollment as the beginning of
classes is about to approach. At the end of the day, all the efforts are all for the
betterment of the learners of Malagana National High School, these served as
fundamental elements for conducive learning environment, where collaboration is
seen as the holy grail of innovation that will drive the whole Malagana NHS to
success.
Day 4 (Pahina with Barangay Council)
To create an effective education system and effective learning environment, all
stakeholders need to come together safe in a meaningful way, through collaboration
connection, and success collaboration between all stakeholders means deep
listening as well as active doing.
The Day 4 of Brigada Eskwela started with Barangay Council Pahina, as the
continuation of the maintenance of the school facilities, Barangay council also did a
impressive job in repainting, roofing and repairing. They also extended their precious
time and effort in helping advisers preparing the classroom that is friendly to the
parents who used to claim and retrieve modules every Friday. This is also the day
where the Malagana National High School received astounding number of enrollees
making Grade 7 and Grade 11 grade levels surpass the number of previous
enrollments. A very productive day indeed for the faculty and staff of the said school
for having a interactive participation of stake holders in making the school as the
second home of the learners.
DAY 5 (Closing program, solicitation)
Malagana National High School faculty and staff are grateful enough to the school
administrators, parent’s/guardians, volunteers and to the rest of stakeholders in
giving extra time and efforts and in showing generosity to the school to achieve a
very conducive learning environment for learners. Day 5 marks the Brigada Eskwela
as the Closing program of the activity. At the second floor of the new laboratory
building houses the Closing Program. Mr. Regidor B. Colong, Teacher II of
Malagana National High School as the master of ceremony gathered everyone
especially faculty and staff of Malagana National High School as a way of showing
how grateful they are having a great stakeholder as a partner of the school in giving
inclusive education. The school headed by Mrs. Anna Marie G. Aguiman invited the
Vice President of General Parents-Teachers Association (GPTA) in the program in
the person of Ma. Lenie Tulibas. The program ran smooth as the parents were very
participative to the mission of school. During the Day 5, the Closing program was
also the time of raising the in need of million flowers in accordance to the
Department of Education Implementation to the school “Let the Million flowers
Bloom”. The school are looking forward that the plant boxes situated besides the
classroom and hallways will be filled with the said flower. Meanwhile, Mrs. Joegil
Pajo, class adviser of Grade 8 at the same time the Coordinator for Gulayan sa
Paaralan together with Mr. Jhanmar Bacala, Grade 10 Decent Adviser instructed the
parents about the prospect planned outcome for Gulayan sa Paaralan. The
coordinators of Gulayan sa Paaralan, implemented the Go, Grow and Glow foods it
must be planted in a shorttime. The parents were subdivided according to the
availability of the above-mentioned category of plants. Everyone is also thankful to
the one of the parents in letting the school barrowed his carabao for ploughing
garden/backyard.
So much has been mentioned, The Malagana National High School were so blessed
with the blessings they’ve received. Through the effort of School head Mrs. Anna
Marie G. Aguiman the school received Twelve thousand pesos (P120000.00) from
Saint Rita’s College of Balingasag Batch 1990 another Ten thousand pesos
(P10000.00) pesos were accumulated from the alumnos students from the same
school, Cathlyn Bacleon, Aminah Sizah Salvaleon and Amiel Ramoso in donating
such amount as well. The school has also received of one (1) load of fine sand
worth of Twenty two thousand pesos (P22000.00) from Yano Construction and one
(1) load of stones worth of twenty two thousand pesos (P22000.00) pesos. The
Malagana National High School were astonished to the effort of Mrs. Marivic Nob
too, Mrs. Nob solicited more or less Eighty thousand pesos (P80000.00)
accumulated donations for the school coming from her students before from Saint
Mary’s Academy and received some school supplies, vitamins, and COVID 19
starter kit.
How grateful the Malagana National High School to the blessings received whether
in kind or donation. These would give tremendous starts of classes indeed, and
drives everyone to the greater heights.
