INTRODUCTION
 Language is the one way to express and share our feeling and information to another else. As we
live in era of technologhy like social media, language have developed in such way. these day not only
language for express our feeling when we communicating or just have conversation with people but
music also has its own role which can affect emotions in other.
The Concise Oxford Dictionary defines music as "the art of combining vocal or instrumental
sounds (or both) to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotion".

Music and songs are two things that are interrelated both in terms of music and each song must
have a deep meaning made by a writer to both express emotions and feelings. For understanding the
meaning contained in a song, is needed an analysis both in terms of connotation and denotation or
from other aspects. To understanding the meaning contained in the song lyrics it can use semiotic
analysis.

Semiotic is the study of signs object and meanings. this analysis the writer will focus on the sign
and its meaning on To the Bone Pamunglas which one have meanings and need Analysis.

According to Merriam webster Denotation an act or process of denoting. Denotation is the act of
using a word or symbol to signify an explicit meaning or set of meanings.

The particular meaning of a word or symbol is its denotation. A connotation is a feeling or idea that
a word has, in addition to its literal or main meaning (the denotation).

Connotation is an additional meaning for a word or phrase; thus, the examples are endless. As
mentioned, many words will share the same literal meaning, but may connote different feelings or
ideas. Through in song when analysis carefully in song lyric have one or few Denotation or
conotative which is have special meanings.

song Someone you loved which is in viral on youtube and social media like Tik tok.

analyzing non-numerical data (e.g., text, video, or audio) to understand concepts, opinions, or
experiences.

semiotic theory.
