• Speak concisely and to the point

• Speak to the issue, not ad hominem (“to the

Writing Criteria (Rubric)
• Quality of content

• Addresses assignment; analytically clear/persuasive; objective; source


material quality; use of evidence/methodology.

• Tone, structure, organization

• Tone; clarity of intro, thesis, conclusion; use of transitions, headings


and other cohering strategies; logic and coherence of paragraphing in
support of main points.

• Mechanics

• Correct citation/documentation; presence of expected elements (title


page, page numbers, works cited if more than in footnotes); length
(word count); grammar, spelling, punctuation, article use.

Case Studies
• Written Case Study Report should include: • Written from a Neutral Point-of-View.
• Summary • Online encyclopedias are not acceptable
• Annotated List of Actors sources for citation (feel free to read to get
background information, but they are at best
