ABSTRACT

The researchers decided to gather information regarding the social media used in
advertising products as experienced by SHS Student-Entrepreneurs of Gerona Junior
College for School year 2020-21. The study aims to identify what kind of social
media is most used in advertising of the SHS Student-Entrepreneurs on selling their
products.
The researcher made use of descriptive survey design. Purposive sampling was
utilized. The researcher gathered information from the Senior High School Student-
Entrepreneurs in Gerona Junior College located in Poblacion 3, Gerona, Tarlac. The
total number of respondents is 28 based on the conducted pilot testing of the
researchers. The researchers used a survey questionnaire through the use of Google
form, asking about the social media used in advertising products by SHS Student-
Entrepreneurs.
It has been found out by the researchers that the social media used in advertising
products are Facebook with a percentage of 65.5%, which considered as the most
chosen media platform and 24.4% for Instagram. The study reveals that, there is a
significant difference on social media used in advertising of SHS student-
entrepreneurs on selling their products in terms of sex and grade level. The
researchers found out that, from the responses of males, customer relations
management is the one who made a common difference while from the responses of
females, they claimed that it's the increase in range of products. On the other
hand, both grade 11 and 12 agreed that pricing of products and increase in range of
products are the most common differences in using social media on advertising
products. It is recommended by the researchers that further studies should be made
on the understanding of the right forms of social media to be used for advertising
products. The researchers also recommends that student-entrepreneurs may consider
other social media applications for advertising products, and should consider
different pricing strategies, the review of the prices of products and should also
consider practicing the customer relation management as a strategy for the
betterment of their relationship to their customers and for the growth of the
business.

RECOMM
Recommendation
1. The researchers should encourage the SHS, both male and female students to
participate in any research study for further understanding and knowledge.
2. The student-entrepreneurs who uses Facebook and Instagram as their chosen
platforms to advertise their products may consider using other social media
applications to learn flexibility, to have a consistent sale and for the growth of
their business.
3. The student-entrepreneurs who uses social media in advertising products should
consider the prices of their products that cover costs and profits. They may review
prices of their products and the prices must be accepted to assure sales.
4. The student-entrepreneurs may as well consider practicing the customer relations
management as a strategy to manage the interactions and relationships between their
customers that will drive their business to success.

reactions to the use of potential sellers for understanding the right forms of
social media to be used for advertising their products.
6. Buyers may be guided by this research study that will serves them as a basis on
where the market is truly happening in each different social media preferred to use
by the student-entrepreneurs on advertising their products.
