Introduction:
Beauty Parlour Management System is basically a web-based application
that is built in Php with CSS, and js (javascript). And for the backend of the system,
SQL server has been used (i.e. Database) so that it will be easy to retrieve later. Also,
the main aim of the system is to help the user to book the appointment in the
beauty parlour for online.

The system is basically for the users where they can book an appointment in salon/
beauty parlour with login. The users of the system include the customers where they
can register initially with the minimum details and will be allowed to make an
appointment. Moreover, the system has two panels i.e. Admin and User. The user
can make an appointment in the parlour and the admin of the system approves it.
Besides, the user can also modify this scheme according to their requirements.

Besides, they can also choose the service which they are trying to get within their
specific date and time in the system. All these activities of making appointments
such as choosing service as well as date and time will be recorded in the database for
all the events. This project integrates a login panel for a more secure system.
Moreover, the system also provides contact details so that the user has no difficulty
in searching the parlour. Besides, the user can visit parlour at a specific date and
time as the system already records the appointment made by them.

Thus the project is a sincere effort in simplifying the task of administrators in an

easily usable format.

I finalized to make this project and hence planned to develop this system
using Visual Studio 2008 for front end and SQL as the Back End.

PROPOSED SYSTEM: BEAUTY PARLOUR MANAGEMENT SYSTEM :

Objective is to overcome the major limitation of the existing enabling effective

management of the customer details thereby improving the performance.

⟡ With improved computerization being involved in the maintenance of customer

details, error and inconsistencies can be kept at par.
⟡ Easy retrieval of data will be made possible by finding techniques.
⟡ Validation of data will ensure only accurate, valid and complete data is stored in
the database.
⟡ Proper monitoring of the processes from customer registration to activation.
Report generation will help make it easy to analyze the performance at the Bank.
⟡ This will be much less time consuming comparing to existing system.

OBJECTIVE:
This software help website admin to see all detail in brief like total number of
customers, total number of appointments, rejected appointments, accepted
appointments, total services, today’s sale, yesterday’s sale and total sales.
This software helps users to take appointments with beauty parlors on particular
date and time. Users view the services offer by the parlors. User can see the details
of beauty parlor and can contact with that beauty parlor.

SCOPE:
The project has a wide scope, as it is not intended to a particular organization.
This project is going to develop generic software, which can be applied by any
business organization. Moreover it provides facility to its customers.

◆ The objectives of the proposed system are to overcome the major limitation of
existing system enabling effective management of the customer details thereby
improving the performance of SHOP ADMINISTRTION.
◆ The system will store all the basic data processing needs the shop management.

Feasibility study - BEAUTY PARLOUR MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

A feasibility study is undertaken to determine to the possibility or
probability of either improving the existing system or developing a completely new
system. It helps to obtain the overview of the problem and to get a rough
assessment of whether other feasible solution exists.

NEEDS FOR FEASIBILITY STUDY:

The feasibility study is needed for following things:-

➢ Answer the questions whether a new system is to be installed or not?

➢ Determine the potential of the existing system.
➢ Improve the existing system.
➢ Know what should be embedded in the new system.
➢ Define the problems and objectives involved.
➢ Avoid costly repairs at later stage when system is implemented.
➢ Avoid crash implementation of the new system.
➢ Avoid the ‘Hardware approach’ i.e. getting a computer first and then deciding
how to use it.
The Feasibility study is divided in to three parts:-

➢ TECHNICAL FEASIBILITY
➢ ECONOMIC FEASIBILITY
➢ OPERATIONAL FEASIBILITY

1. Technical Feasibility:

The proposed system can be developed using existing

technology or not. It is planned to implement the proposed system
using ASP.NET with C# and databases are SQL Server 2000 / 2005.
The organization already possesses Windows XP & Windows 2000
server with Internet information Server (IIS) & Data bases. It is evident
that the necessary hardware and software are available for
development and implementation of the beauty parlour proposed
system.

2. Economical Feasibility:
It is an evaluation of development cost weighed against the
ultimate income or benefit derived from the skin care developed
system. Economic justification includes a broad range of concerns that
includes cost-benefit analysis, long-term corporate income strategies,
cost of resources needed for development.
The Organization has in place, the required Hardware for
implementing the beauty parlor proposed system. The Organization
has already satellite link, and a host of servers so it need not invest
newly for the beauty shop Internet connection. So the Spa salon
Organization need not incur any additional expenditure.

3. Operational Feasibility:
This test of feasibility asks if the beauty parlour system will work
with least difficulties when it is developed and installed. The technical
staff has sufficient knowledge of the beauty parlour tools being used
and the users need just to know how to access and browse the beauty
salon site. Hence it is concluded that the system is operationally feasible.
 SYSTEM OVERVIEW:

Dashboard: In this section admin can see all detail in brief like total number of
customers, total number of appointments, rejected appointments, accepted
appointments, total services, today’s sale, yesterday’s sale and total sales.
Services : In this section admin can manage services of parlour(add and update).
Pages: In this section admin can manage about us and contact us pages
Appointments: In this section admin can view the details of appointments and
have right to reject and select the appointment.
Add Customer: In this section admin can manage customer(add/update
Customer List: In this section admin can view customer lists and assign services.
Report: In this section admin can view users details and sales in particular period.

Admin can also update his/her profile, change and recover password.

USER/CUSTOMER MODULE:

Homepage: User can take appointment with beauty parlor on particular date and
time
Services: User can view the services offered by the beauty parlors.
About us: User can see details of beauty parlor.
Contact us: User can contact beauty parlour

STUDY OF EXISTING SYSTEM

DISADVANTAGES OF ESISTING SYSTEM:

In present system you have to call the salon to fix an appointment. After taking an
appointment you have to remember the date of the appointment. User is also not
able to find the best salon in their locality. He can find out the services of any salon
only after taking their services. But in proposed system you can check review online
and find out who is giving best services. User can also check that which salon gives
good customer satisfaction.many salons today are still using paper and pencil systems
to schedule appointments and manage customers. These systems are grossly inefficient at
sharing and syncing information, and are prone to costly human error.

In current system salon take appointment on register. They manage customer record
on register. And it is very difficult to find out old appointment details in this system.
Making report for the salon business is also very tiresome task. this system is prone
to costly human error. Beauty parlor management system allow salon to manage
stylists and services, promote sales to customers, and track customer satisfaction.

BENEFITS OF PROPOSED SYSTEM:

Beauty parlor management system is developed to automate all the salon activity.
Using this system user can manage their salon and also use this system to book
appointment of his customer online. User can also check the top rated salons in his
locality using this system online. User can get the address of the top rated salon in
his locality by clicking on the name of the salon. Then it displays the salons that have
the highest average ratings by category. Users can click on the salon’s name in order
to get the address and phone number of the salon. Customer can login into the
system by giving valid username and password. After login he can check his
upcoming appointments. salon admin can also how many appointment they have to
complete on particular date. User can also search any salon by entering its name in
the search box.

REQUIREMENT ANALYSIS

FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

⟡ A user shall be able to search for nearby salons.

⟡ A user shall be able to reserve specific time slots at salons.
⟡ A user shall be able to reserve a specific employee at specific salon.
⟡ A user shall be able to evaluate the salon.
⟡ A user shall be able to evaluate the employee of the salon.
⟡ A user shall be able to see the available time schedule of the
employee, reserve a time slot.
⟡ A user shall be able to do a review by visiting website.

NON-FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

⟡ The website shall use appropriate color for text and background.
⟡ The website shall give the user different options to find salons.
⟡ The website buttons and menus shall perform desired actions.
⟡ The website element shall be in a consistent format.
