Example
I live in an apartment.
She lives in a house.
They don’t live in a house.
She doesn’t live in a house.

 The present simple tense

Formation Example
+ I + am I am a student.
he / she / it + is She is a student.
you / we / they + are They are students.
_ I + am + not I am not a teacher.
he / she / it + is + not He is not a teacher.
you / we / they + are + not They are not teachers.
? Am + I … ? Am I a student?
Is + he / she / it + … ? Is she a student?
Are + you / we / they + … ? Are they students?

Usage: We use the Present Simple to talk about
things that are facts or are true for a long time
Common expressions:

* always, usually, often, sometimes, never, …

* every day, every week, every year, …
* once a day, twice a week, three times a month,
…
* in the morning, in the afternoon, in the evening,
…
* at night, …
