    To braid a cord bracelet or necklace: 1. Tape the looped end of one cord and the center strands of both cords to a table to keep them from getting tangled. 2. Use a 90" outer cord and 30" base cord for an 18" bracelet, or 46" outer cord and 170" base cord for an 8" necklace. 3. Fold both cords in half and cross the right strand under and over the left strand to begin tying a square knot in the center. Then begin braiding the cords.

    Tip: It will be easier working


    with the loop taped to a table
    - then stretch out the 2 center
    strands and tape them down
    as well, now your cords will
    not get mixed up.

    Square Knot For 18” Bracelet-90” outer cord, 30” base cord
    For 8” Necklace-46” outer cord, 170” base cord
    Fold both cords in half

    outer cord

    base cord

    Cross right
    under strand over the
    left strand

    Tie cord in center


    and braid!

    Tip: A little dot of glue on knots will ensure they stay tied.
