A Teacher A Manager
A Teacher A Manager
In the context of teaching and learning process, a teacher plans, organizes, directs or
motivates, and controls over the classroom in order to meet the desired learning outcomes.
In the Planning phase, the teacher determines objectives, plan the learning processes
in a sequence and also include the selection of instructional materials to be used.
Then he/she organizes teaching-learning conditions in order to achieve the set of
objectives, keeping in view the individual differences and diversity of learning styles
of the students.
Next, the teacher directs, motivates and encourages students, supervises their
functions and provides necessary guidance for achieving the objectives.
Lastly, he/she controls through preparing tests and evaluating all the students to
determine if the learning competencies are met. And if not, conducts remediation and
reinforcements to meet the desired needs.
Thus with the help of these duties, a teacher can make the teaching-learning process
effective and attain learning goal satisfaction. Carrying out these responsibilities is what
makes a teacher a manager.
