Ans. 2.5 websites of the Indian government which provide IT enabled services to
the people are given below :

1) https://uidai.gov.in :- UIDAI was created to issue Unique Identification
numbers (UID), named as "Aadhaar", to all residents of India. The UID had
to be (a) robust enough to eliminate duplicate and fake identities, and (b)
verifiable and authenticable in an easy, cost-effective way. As on 31 March
21, the Authority has issued 128.99 crore Aadhaar numbers to the
residents of India.
Q3. Write down the reasons for the growth ofBPO industry in India.
Ans. There are some reasons for the growth of the BPO market within India. Some
of them are :

1. The work that comes to Indian BPO industry are actually from rich and
enterprising countrieslike USA, Canada and European countries. So, this has
led to infusion of capital into this business. Thus, money act as a major lure
for the employees of this industry.
3. Indians are developing their skills as an educated nation . many of the skills
required by the BPO industry come easy for the educated employees, who
are many times graduates also. So, the BPO industry is lending its hand to
provide employment to many of the educated people of India.

3. IT in business - E-commerce is an information technology application that
benefits businesses by increasing profits and gaining access to new markets
on a big scale, while also benefiting consumers by increasing access to
services and commodities. Business transaction can be done online
between two people sitting very far apart .

Ans. We are using BOOKMYSHOW website here to book movie ticket . Following
are the steps to book movie ticket :-

Step 11: Finally, click on PAY (Price will be mentioned).
Step 12: Once you get the booking summary [Select your ticket type (M-ticket /
Box office pickup)] click on proceed.
Step 13: Share your contact details.
Step 14: Choose the payment option convenient to you (Net banking, credit
/debit card, quick pay, UPI).

DATA ENTRY AND KEYBOARD SKILLS
Ans. Once you have downloaded and installed the RapidTyping software, on your
computer you can start it by using following steps:-
You can also open the RapidTyping software directly by double clicking on its
icon if available on the desktop.
• Text Area :- In the text area in center of a window, the text to be typed is
displayed.

• Virtual Keyboard :- The keyboard which you see on the screen is called
virtual keyboard. Virtual keyboard will help you to learn touch typing with
all ten fingers. You can customise its options in the Keyboard options.
• The three buttons :- Three big tab-buttons in the top-left corner are used
for switching between basic program modes: Current lesson(F2), Student
statistics(F3) and Lesson editor(F4).
• Taskbar :-Taskbar, in the top of the window, lets you select the current
course and lesson, and customise the main program options. Lesson
Control section allows you to Start / Suspend the current lesson, go back to
the beginning and see the current speed, accuracy and remaining or
elapsed lesson time in a real time.
• Options button :- By using this button, you can change some settings, like
language , sound, interface, shortcuts, theme etc.
• Lesson control panel :- This panel contains several controls, like to pause
or resume current lesson, to ON or OFF sound and to adjust the sound
volume .
In this window , you can also review your mistakes which are done by you in the
lesson. The color indication is as follows:-
• Yellow :- This colour stands for the right inputs exceeding the excellent
timeframe.
• Red :- This colour denotes the wrong inputs within acceptable timeframe .

• Orange :- This colour refers to wrong inputs which is beyond the acceptable
timeframe .
Q4. Write down the steps to insert lesson from external file and delete a
lesson .
Ans. →To insert the lesson from external file , follow these steps :-
1. Choose the lesson from the navigation tree.
Q5. Write down the steps to start first lesson with various levels and
benchmark in detail .
Ans . To start the first lesson in typing tutor, use the following steps :-
1. In the taskbar the first tab holds various levels. Select a level by choosing
any one of the following :- For example- Select the beginner level to start .
2. In the taskbar, the second tab contains various lesson categories . specify
the lesson category as per your choice . The lesson category may vary as
per your level selection.

3. Now choose the lesson from arrow mark on the lesson categories. The
lesoon tab contains a list of lessons . You can choose any one as per your
choice for learning touch typing . For example – select a very first lesson f j

4. You may choose Options button and choose Background and text color .
a) Choosing background and text color .
b) Interface to set background and text color in the software.
5. Now, you can start typing text by pressing keys on the keyboard. To press
correct keys, put your finger in your initial positions and type the letter.
When you press the correct letter by the finger , a green color appears on
the typed letter, but , if you press the incorrect letter, a red color appears
on the typed letter.
6. Anytime during typing you can pause or resume the lesson and restart the
lesson by clicking on the corresponding buttons available in the main
window . The green bar above the Lesson control panel shows you the
percentage of completion for the current lesson . That bar is usually called
Progress bar .

Ans. 1. Title Bar : The title bar is located at the top of the interface. It contains
the file name, name of application and window management buttons on the
right. When the document is not yet named, the document name will appear as
Untitled Where X is a number.
Menu bar : The Menu Bar is located just below the Title Bar in windows and
Linux and at the top the screen MacOS. When you select one of the menus ,a
drop –down shows up that includes:Commands that directly cause an action like
Close or Save from the File tab. Commands that open further submenus. In this
case there is a right-pointing arrow to the right of the command. Moving the
cursor onto one of these items causes its submenu to open.
Sidebar : The sidebar normally opens on the right side of the Writer interface . If
required , you may open up the sidebar with View menu>Sidebar. The Sidebar
also has a hide/show icon . When the sidebar is closed ,it can be opened using
hide/show icon.
Status Bar :The status bar is located at the bottom of the workspace. It provides
information about the document and convenient ways to quickly change some
document features . It can be hidden by deselecting it in the View menu.
Insert Mode:This area is blank when in insert mode. Click on this area to change
it to Overwrite mode; click again to return to Insert mode. In insert mode, any
text after the cursor moves forward to make room for the text you type . In
Overwrite mode , text after the cursor position is replaced by the text you type.

Q2. Explain steps to Insert a table on the document with dimensions 2x2.
Explain the steps for inserting Rows and Columns.
Ans: To insert a new table using the Insert table dialog , where you can specify
the properties for the table, position the cursor where you want the table to
appear, then use any of the following methods to open the dialog box:
On the Standard toolbar,click on the Insert Table icon and select More Options at
the bottom of the drop-down graphic.
In the General section of the Insert Table dialog box ,in the Name box ,you can
enter a different name from the Writer-generated default for the table.This might
come in handy when using the Navigator to jump quickly to a table.In the
columns and Rows boxes,specify the number of columns and rows for the new
table. You can change the size of the table later, if necessary.
Click on the Rows Above or Rows Below icons on the Table toolbar to insert one
row above or below the selected one. Click on the Columns Left or Columns Right
icon on the Table toolbar to insert a column to the left or right of the selected
one.
Place the cursor in the row or column before or after which you want to add new
rows or columns and choose Table>Insert>Rows Above/Below or
Table>Insert>Columns Before/After from the Menu bar.
Place the cursor in the row or column before or after which you want to add new
rows or columns, right- click, and choose Table>Insert>Rows Above/Below or
Table>Insert>Columns Before/After.

Q4.Explain the steps of inserting Special characters in a Document.
1. Place the cursor in the document where you want the characters to appear.
2. Click on Insert>Special Character or Click on the Insert Special Characters
icon on the standard toolbar to open the Special Characters dialog box
3. Double click on the characters you wish to insert , in order ; they appear in
the document as you select them . The selected characters are also added
to the Recent Characters list on the lower left of the dialog box.
