GENERAL OBJECTIVES:

 Within 8 hours of clinical duty as a student head nurse at Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center
(Delivery Room) I will be able to :

 Initiate a pre and post conference with the student nurses;

 Designate & remind the student nurses regarding their assigned tasks/responsibilities;
 Manage the flow of labor
 Facilitate actual deliveries, cord care and vital sign monitoring with the student nurses;
 Monitor and record all cases being handled by the student nurses;
 Endorse outcome of today’s daily management to our clinical instructor

 To obtain knowledge for the rest of the group.
 To refresh knowledge and skills.
 To prevent the breaking the chain of asepsis on the DR.
 To be well prepared for the next Delivery.
 To be well prepared for the upcoming evaluation quiz.
 To obtain cleanliness of the student’s lounge before leaving the area.

 Within 8 hours of clinical duty as a student head nurse at Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center
(Delivery Room) I will be able to attain a symbiotic relationship among the students, Clinical Instructor,
Head Nurses, Staff Nurses, and other health care personnel in which learning is facilitated towards
attainment of competency in rendering quality care to clients within the health care delivery setting; and
to have a good time management which is well delegated. Having equality of distribution of
responsibilities and cases for the rest of the group.
