TOURISM

Tourism is one of the most popular activities and a significant part of our life. There are
many types of tourism: recreational tourism for people who want to relax, adventure
tourism for those who enjoy dangerous activities, sports tourism, medical, cultural,
educational, culinary and a lot more. There are three basic kinds of tourism: domestic
tourism (when visitors travel within their own country), inbound tourism (when people
visit inbound countries) and outbound tourism (people visit overseas countries).
It`s obvious that people travel for different reasons. Learning is one of the strongest
ones. You know, seeing the world is more educational to get acquainted with new
cultures and customs than a school class. Another reason is that some people are so
stressed out that they want to escape from everyday problems. They search for a
comfort zone to relax, enjoy the sun and have fun. In contrast, others want to get
outside their comfort zone and try something unusual and exciting.
Travelling is a highly organized business and people can travel in different ways but I
prefer to travel by train since travelling by train is the safest. So far, it is the means of
transportation that I almost never heard of being in an accident. Sure, there can be no
doubt that the fastest means of travelling is by plane. Nowadays low-cost air travel is
gaining popularity because it allows us to save money. With this, we can travel more
and we can allot our budget to other expenses. However, with low-cost air travel our
convenience and comfort may suffer. Since it`s cheap, meals and baggage fees may
not be included. The plane may be old and sets might be uncomfortable. But anyway,
it`s a great way of travelling to save money.
All I all, we travel to learn and experience something that is completely different than
home. Human curiosity is insatiable. I firmly believe that our desire to seek out new
places, experience unique environments and encounter foreign societies is essential to
our survival.
