The 19th century is the time when middle class has come to life.

It used to be just
2 classes which are the higher class and the lower class. 19th century is the period
where lands in the Philippines became the primary source of wealth which gave
farmers and landowners the chance to afford constructions which gave way for
technological connections among the different islands of the Philippines.
Philippines have been known to be rich with various minerals and natural
resources which was open for trade and has made Philippines a major exporter of
several resources known to a lot of countries worldwide. It started from bartering
products then slowly shifted to using money to pay for a product which grew the
economy even more.

Apart from the changes of economy, the 19th century was also the time when
railroads are built, ships assembled to make each island interconnected. It also is
the time when communication advances to a more convenient way. This was the
century when Philippines was one of the wealthiest countries. Its abundance in
crops and other natural resources almost controlled the supply in world trade,
having this control Philippines was considered technologically advanced especially
by having railroads, ships and the advanced communication system.

We were advanced in development than most other countries who are still
thriving. We were part of the 1st world along with the US. We were like the center
of production of raw materials each needed by different countries around the
world.
