Election Review - CXXXIX
The most telling argument raised yesterday in critique of my 100% support for Mastriano was
whether it would survive, a concern dramatized by Trump-endorsed Purnell’s marital “issues”
(recalling my affection for Kathy Barnette); employing “2020” electoral audits/reform remains
the prime tool affording those who push integrity to recognize that retrospective analysis is
mandated if prospective contests can be trusted. Therefore, the anticipated announcement that
State Sen. Doug Mastriano (R-Franklin) launched an exploratory Committee for Governor was
accompanied by a buncha comments on Politics-PA that were easily annotated; monitoring this
website, in particular, has become an avocation (even as the # of original pieces has declined).
{Also, for those who may doubt the persistence of Mastriano in this realm, note a prior memo
[Why Sen. Mastriano has asserted a full forensic audit will soon start, composed on 6/9/2021];
for those who can now recognize Mastriano’s three-county letter constituted a holding-action
due to Corman, note another memo that decried this digression, composed on 7/17/2021.}
Also anticipated was word that the big GOP gubernatorial field will grow after Corman announces,
establishing the dynamic between how Mastriano <----> Corman hawk their wares; it is hoped
that Bannon/Epshteyn will recognize the error-of-their-ways when cow-towing to predictably
unproductive Corman, perhaps after more procrastination follows Commonwealth Court action.
On the same day that counties confirmed Pennsylvania’s general election went smoothly because
“no issues had cropped up that could affect the outcome of any races,” MontCo was still counting
mail-in ballots, citing delays; per e-mail from MCRC Chair Liz Havey, ballot-counting was still
underway today (Saturday) for >20,000 provisional and mail ballots. And Pa. Gov. Tom Wolf’s wife
dropped off his mail ballot, overtly violating state election law. Also, Rep. Russ Diamond has filed
a bill to reinforce a point he made a few months ago during a speech @ the Rising Sun Inn during
which he decried the SURE system, delaying the May 2022 primary to ensure all voters re-register;
this is c/w a 2019 Auditor General Report that animated much of my review of House State
Government Committee hearing transcripts/attachments, replete with the perps’ confessions.
