 The tools should be checked for malfunctioning, and inspected to ensure that they are in good

working condition.

 Avoid wearing loose-fitted clothing in the workshop.

 You must follow instructions and procedures. If you don’t understand something, ask.

 And you must always keep your work area tidy.

 Ensure all guards are in place and functioning before any machine is started.

 Wear the relevant clothing, footwear and gears for various tasks.

 Ensure that the equipment is suitable for the intended purpose and conditions of use.

 Clean up machines after you use them. A dirty machine is unsafe and uncomfortable to work on.

 Do NOT leave machines running unattended

 Concentrate on what you're doing. If you get tired, leave. 

 If you have long hair or a long beard, tie it up.

 Employers should make sure that the person who is to use the equipment has received suitable

health and safety training and information about the equipment’s operation.
