TOPIC 6:
PHOTOSYNTHESIS
Created by:
Nanda Gusriani, M.Pd.
Photosynthesis uses the energy of sunlight to convert water and carbon dioxide into
high energy sugars and oxygen. Plants use the sugars to produce complex carbohydrates such
as starches. Plants obtain the carbon dioxide they need for photosynthesis from the air or from
the water in which they grow.
Descriptions:
Planted a seed into a pre-measured
amount of soil and watered for 5
years.
Weighed plant and soil. Plant was 75
kg, soil the same.
Concluded: mass came from water.
