Instruction: Kindly answer the following questions based on your own understanding.
1. What is stress?
STRESS IS A FEELING OF EMOTIONAL OR PHYSICAL TENSION. IT CAN COME FROM
ANY EVENT OR THOUGHT THAT MAKES YOU FEEL FRUSTRATED, ANGRY, OR
NERVOUS. STRESS IS YOUR BODY'S REACTION TO A CHALLENGE OR DEMAND. IN
SHORT BURSTS, STRESS CAN BE POSITIVE, SUCH AS WHEN IT HELPS YOU AVOID
DANGER OR MEET A DEADLINE.

2. What makes you stressed?


MANY THINGS THAT CAN LEAD TO STRESS: BEREAVEMENT, DIVORCE OR
SEPARATION, LOSING A JOB OR UNEXPECTED MONEY PROBLEMS. IT MAKES ME
STRESS WHEN I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO FIRST AND ALSO IF MY FAMILY HAS
TOO MUCH PROBLEM.

3. What do you do in order to relieve stress?


I JUST SLEEP AND FORGET WHAT MAKES ME STRESS, AND THEN WHEN I WAKE UP
I EAT.

4. Is stress healthy for you? Why or why not?


OFCOURSE NOT, IT IS NOT HEALTY FOR EVERYONE. BECAUSE IT MAY LEAD TO
DEPRESSION AND IT WILL MAKE YOUR LIFE MORE MISERABLE.

"GO AFTER WHAT IT IS THAT CREATES MEANING IN YOUR LIFE AND THEN TRUST
YOURSELF TO HANDLE THE STRESS THAT FOLLOWS." THAT'S AN AMAZING SENTENCE.
ONLY IF YOU BELIEVE THAT STRESS IS BAD FOR YOUR HEALTH, YOU WOULD DIE MORE
OF STRESS. STRESS MAKES YOU MORE SOCIAL BY RELEASING OXYTOCIN. THIS
HORMONE WHICH YOU MORE COMPASSIONATE AND CARING, AND HELPS YOUR HEART.
ALSO, PEOPLE WHO SPEND TIME CARING FOR PEOPLE ARE NOT AFFECTED BADLY BY
STRESS. I FELT THAT IT IS STILL A USEFUL TALK. I AM THE GUY WHO HAS AN
EXPERIENCE WITH STRESS ISSUE. BUT AFTER LISTEN TO THIS TALK, IT TOTALLY
CHANGES MY WAY OF THINKING. I CAN SO UNDERSTAND WHAT SHE HAS DONE. I DID
THAT A LONG TIME AGO WHEN I REALIZED THAT IT SEEMED I WOULD LIVE IN STRESS A
LOT OF MY LIFETIME, SO AS BAD AS IT WAS I DECIDED TO EMBRACE IT AND MENTALLY
USE IT AS A STEPPING STONE TOWARDS BUILDING MORE CHARACTER. THIS IS A
CONTROL ISSUE AND WHEN YOU REALIZE SOME THINGS YOU JUST ABSOLUTELY HAVE
NO CONTROL OVER, BUT YOU CAN CONTROL HOW YOU REACT.

1. IT'S IMPORTANT TO RECOGNIZE HOW YOU RESPOND SO YOU CAN IDENTIFY WHEN
YOU'RE STRESSED AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE. WE CAN'T AVOID STRESS, AND
OTHERS CAN'T MANAGE OUR STRESS FOR US. WE HAVE TO MAKE THE CHOICE TO
LEARN AND PRACTICE STRESS SOLUTIONS THAT ENABLE US TO LIVE WELL
REGARDLESS OF THE SITUATIONS THAT COME OUR WAY.

2. ALL OF THEM ARE DEPENDS ON YOUR INNER MIND, HEART, AND SOUL WOULD
DETERMINE HOW YOU CAN POSITIVELY STIMULATE YOUR GOOD MIND AND HOW
YOU WOULD RESPOND TO WHAT HAPPENS TO YOU, AND YOUR RELATIONSHIP
WITH ANYONE IS ALSO UP TO YOUR INNER HEALTH. IF YOU WANT TO HAVE A
GOOD RELATIONSHIP WITH SOMEONE, GO TO CHURCH OR FIND A HOBBY FOR
YOURSELF AND JOIN THE CLUB OR DO YOUR OWN AND INVITE SOMEONE TO JOIN
YOU. "YOUR MIND IS THE MASTER POWER, IT MOLDS AND SHAPES YOU."

 KEEP A POSITIVE ATTITUDE.
 ACCEPT THAT THERE ARE EVENTS THAT YOU CANNOT CONTROL.
 BE ASSERTIVE INSTEAD OF AGGRESSIVE.
 LEARN AND PRACTICE RELAXATION TECHNIQUES; TRY MEDITATION, YOGA,
OR TAI-CHI FOR STRESS MANAGEMENT.
 EXERCISE REGULARLY.
 EAT HEALTHY, WELL-BALANCED MEALS.
 LEARN TO MANAGE YOUR TIME MORE EFFECTIVELY.

STRESS IS SOMETHING THAT AFFECTS MANY PEOPLE EACH AND EVERY DAY. LIFE IS
FULL OF HASSLES, DEADLINES, FRUSTRATIONS, AND DEMANDS. FOR SOME PEOPLE STRESS
IS SO COMMON IT IS A WAY OF LIFE. STRESS CAN BE VERY HARMFUL AND OR HELPFUL. IT
COULD HELP MOTIVATE YOU TO MEET A DEADLINE AND PERFORM A TASK UNDER
PRESSURE. STRESS CAN ALSO BE VERY HARMFUL, SUCH AS MEMORY PROBLEMS,
MOODINESS, ACHES AND PAINS, AND EATING MORE OR LESS.

THERE ARE THREE VIEWS IN UNDERSTANDING STRESS AS STIMULUS, AS RESPONSE,


AND AS RATIONAL, AS A STIMULUS, STRESS MAY BE THE EVENTS OR SITUATIONS THAT
ARE LIFE-CHANGING AND EVERY CHALLENGING. AS A RESPONSE, STRESS CAUSES THE
BODY AND THE BRAIN TO SECRETE HORMONES AND CHEMICALS THAT ARE MANIFESTED
PHYSICALLY, AND WHICH MAY DRIVE A PERSON TO A CERTAIN BEHAVIOR IN DEALING
WITH THE STRESS. AS RATIONAL, STRESS IS SEEN AS A SITUATION THAT A PERSON
INTERACTS WITH. THE PERSON CAN ASSESS WHETHER THE SITUATION IS RELEVANT OR
NOT, AND IF THE RELEVANE IS POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE. IF IT IS POSITIVE, THE PERSON WILL
SEE THE STRESS AS A CHALLENGE, CHANGE THE EFFECT OF THE SITUATION , AND THEN
TAKE THE NECESSARY COURSE OF ACTION TO LESSEN THE STRESS. IF IT IS NEGATIVE, THE
PERSON WILL DEVELOP NEGATIVE EMOTIONS, WHICH WILL AGGRAVATE THE STRESSFUL
SITUATION EVEN MORE.
