Direction: Make a comparative study on the different geographic profile in the ASEAN region.
ASEAN Region Geographic Profile
This country is small with a total size of 5,765 sq. km. Its geographical
coordinates are 4°30´N 114°40´E. The terrain is flat coastal plain that rises to
Brunei
mountainous in the east and hilly lowlands in the west. Their climate is tropical
equatorial and humid subtropical at a higher altitude with heavy rainfall.
This country covers a total area of 181,035 sq. km. It has low lying Central
Plain that includes the Tonlé Sap basin, the lower Mekong River flood-plains
and the Bassac River plain surrounded by mountain ranges to the north, east, in
Cambodia
the south-west and south. Cambodia's climate, like that of much of the rest of

land area of Malaysia is 329,847 square kilometres (127,350 sq mi), the
66th largest country in the world in terms of area. It is the only country to
Malaysia contain land on both mainland Asia and the Malay archipelago. There are two
major parts to this country, Peninsular Malaysia to the west and East

Myanmar (also known as Burma) is the northwesternmost country of
mainland Southeast Asia. It is roughly diamond-shaped, with a long
southeastern ‘tail’ and extends 925km (575 miles) from east to west and
Myanmar 2,100km (1,300 miles) from north to south. Tropical monsoon in the lowlands
below 1,000 m (3,281 ft); cloudy, rainy, hot, humid summers (southwest
monsoon, June to September); less cloudy, scant rainfall, mild temperatures,
lower humidity during winter (northeast monsoon, December to April).

southeastern Asia between the South China Sea and the Pacific Ocean. The two
largest islands, Luzon and Mindanao, make up for two-thirds of the total land
