ELECTRICAL DEVICES REPORT

OBSERVATION
We have checked the power sockets and switches for the consulate villa and found followings:
1-COVER PLATE:
In bill of quantities, it is written that change the cover plate of all switches and sockets. As you know
this is outdated and not available in market. Even we contact the supplier to make them from their
factory it will take time and maybe they will not be fabricated as of old design.
2-FACE PLATE:
In bill of quantities, it is only to replace the cover plate does not face plate. There are some face
plates which are not working. These face plates are also outdated. They are not available in market.
Also, they have some certain life. After that carbon comes on terminals and because of which it will
not work properly.
3-COMMON PROBLEMS:
The light flickering due to old devices.
Light bulbs burn out frequently. As we have seen in villa.
Warm outlets and switches.
Short Circuits.
4-OUTDATED POWER SOCKETS:
The power sockets are outdated and diminishing effectiveness with time. Now three pins’ outlets
were developed for more safety. IEC developed a universal plug to encounter earlier obstacles in
electrical devices.
