Behavioural patterns observed in your data:

- Adherence to 15 guidelines

 It was observed that most people are following personal hygiene norms such as
regular washing of face and hands, using sanitizer and covering their face and
mouth with coughing or sneezing.
 Masks are being worn by most people in public places.
 Instances of spitting in common areas have been reduced.
 People are trying to maintain social distancing wherever possible.
 Unnecessary travel is being avoided by reducing the number of visits to
marketplaces.

- Constraints in adhering to guidelines faced

 Most of the people are not washing or replacing their masks regularly, either
because they are not aware of the same, or because they don’t realise the need for
it.
 A majority of the people do not clean or disinfect the common surfaces, due to
convenience, neglect or ignorance. Another reasoning they pose is that, if they are
washing or sanitizing their hands, there is no particular need to clean the surfaces
separately.
 Additionally, as the third wave has luckily been avoided and the festival season
has arrived, people are getting relaxed in terms of adhering to COVID guidelines,
having large gatherings, meet and greets, weddings and public celebrations.
- Specific things observed

 The vaccination programme seems to be fairly successful, as most people have

received at least one dose of the vaccine. Majority of the people have availed the
service free of charge at their local clinics or govt camps.
 A herd mentality is noticed among the rural citizens, where a lot of the
respondents mentioned how most people in public places and transports do not
wear a mask or follow social distancing, so why should we? Alternatively, when
there is no one checking or imposing fines, they tend to default on the same.
 This is a problem area which must be tackled with regards to changing the
mentality or mindset of the people to follow the protocol not because of the fear
of punishment, but for your own safety.
 One specific observation regarding this study and questionnaire is that in a
situation where someone is being questioned by an authority with regards to
following COVID protocols, wearing masks etc., most people tend to say that
they abide by the same.
 Hence, during data analysis, we must consider some fallacies in the statistics and
make some adjustments in order to have a dataset which is as close to actual
figures as virtually possible.
