Activity and Performance Tasks: Organizing Business Activities
Activity and Performance Tasks: Organizing Business Activities
Innovation - innovation is how companies develop new ideas and expand their
products and services. An organization that is innovative opens itself up to new
opportunities, integrates updated technology tools and becomes an industry leader.
Organizations experience low innovation and grow stagnant because:
They have a company culture that stifles employee creativity.
The company uses outdated business practices that don’t facilitate
innovation.
Three (3) or more ways on how to solve problems that occurs in organizing a business.
Take the time to define the problem clearly – many executives like to jump into
solution mode immediately, even before they understand the issue. In some cases, a
small problem can become a big one with inappropriate actions. In all cases, real
clarity will expedite the path ahead.
Pursue alternate paths on “facts of life” and opportunities – there are some things
that you can do nothing about. They’re not problems; they are merely facts of life.
Often, what appears to be a problem is actually an opportunity in disguise.
Challenge the definition from all angles – beware of any problem for which there is
only one definition. The more ways you can define a problem, the more likely it is
that you will find the best solution. For example, “sales are too slow” may mean
strong competitors, ineffective advertising, or poor sales process.
Iteratively question the cause of the problem – this is all about finding the root
cause, rather than treating a symptom. If you don’t get to the root, the problem will
likely recur, perhaps with different symptoms. Don’t waste time resolving the same
problem.
Identify multiple possible solutions – the more possible solutions you develop, the
more likely you will come up with the right one. The quality of the solution seems to
be in direct proportion to the quantity of solutions considered in problem solving.
Three (3) examples of values or ethical practices that can be very useful in a business
organization.

A water refilling station business is managed and owned by a private entrepreneur while the
agrichemical marketing or agrichemical business is usually run by agricultural companies. Water
refilling station is an easy business to run because it offers only one product or service and that
is to refill water. Agri business on the other hand is somewhat difficult to manage because it
offers wide range of career opportunities in agricultural law particularly in chemical products.
As seen in the organizational chart of water refilling station above, it has a technical assistant to
take part in running the machine to manufacture a good source of safe drinking water while
agrichemical business doesn’t have because they already have finished products.
THEIR SIMILARITIES:
Water refilling station provides delivery man to transport refilled containers to customer’s
home and also agrichemical business does. They also deliver some products specially to their
valued and trusted customers. Water refilling station comprises only small number of staff
while agrichemical business hires many. Though water refilling station is just easy to run and
gives only one product, it is still needed and most bought by humans 24/7 because water takes
a big part of our everyday living while agrichemical business depends on the season of planting
our country have.
