Corona Virus:
Corona viruses are a family of viruses that can cause respiratory illness in humans. It is a
diseases that can be termed as the most divesting diseases of 21st century. The name corona virus
comes from the Latin word corona. There are many different kinds of corona viruses. Some of
them can cause cold or other mil respiratory (nose, throat, lung) illnesses.
History & corona virus spread:
On December 2019, the first case was identified in Wuhan city, home to 11 million
people and the cultural and economic hub of central china. As of this writing (05/11/2021), more
than 159,000,000 people in the world have been infected over 3,300,000 people have died. Some
192 countries and territories on all continents (except Antarctica) have now reported case of
COVID-19. The U.S has the highest number of cases, with more than 32,000,000 people infected
and over 580,000 deaths.
What are the symptoms?
They symptoms of COVID-19 are cough, fever or chills, muscle or body aches, sore
throat, new loss of taste or smell, and many more. The time between becoming infected and
showing symptoms, can range from two to 14 days.
How can I protect myself?
The WHO recommends basic hygiene such as regularly washing hands with soap and
water, and covering your mouth with your elbow when sneezing or coughing and also
recommended warring face mask.
Vaccine:
A medical companies from all over the world started the battle in making the COVID-19
vaccine. A product that stimulates a person’s immune system to produce immunity to a specific
disease, protecting the person from that disease. Most famous vaccines are Sinovac Vaccine,
SinoPharmo Vaccine, AstraZeneca Vaccine, and Sputnik Vaccine.
