 Narrates the plot, musical and theatrical elements of an Code: MU9OP-
opera after video and movie showing. Iva-g-1
 Opera is a play in which all the actors’ lines are sung instead of spoken.
This singing is combined with the other theatrical elements of drama,
dancing, costumes, sets, staging, lighting, etc.
 Opera has two distinct style: Recitative which is narrative and Aria which I
are lyrical. In an opera you will find an overture, acts, scenes, and songs
that may include Cadenza and leitmotif.
1. Objectives:
Describe the elements of an opera.
Narrate the theatrical elements of an opera through a creative presentation.
Display appreciation on the important contributions of opera to the modern cinema.
Demonstrate respect of other group’s presentation.

Guessing Game
1. The teacher will divide the class into 6 groups.
2. The teacher will show on the TV screen the different elements of an opera and
that of a theatrical play.
3. Each group is going to copy from the TV screen the different words on their
words strips.
4. After copying, the group is going to classify each word to where they belong,
either to Opera or Theatre Play.
5. The teacher will check each group’s work then give them 2 points for each word
classified correctly.
