Summary

Doosan site management team requested service team in order to supervise the above
mentioned engine. The engine had been tested at Changwon, Korea on 03rd June. 2010.

Our commissioning team attended the vessel and carried out the following items at Dayang
shipyard, China from 28th Aug. to 02nd Sep. 2010.

 Inspection of mechanical parts

 Measurement and adjustment of engine performance

.Working

1. Inspection of mechanical parts

After running 50% load, inspected following items.

1.1 Crank case & Chain case inside


We inspected the inside of crank case and chain case at Tai-chang anchorage(29th
Aug.) . As a result of the inspection, we could not find any damaged point on the lub. oil
pipes, guide bars for chain roller, main chain and all wheels. All around condition of
crank and chain case chamber were in good order. And All hydraulic bolts and general
bolts were checked by means of test hammer and spanner.

1.2 Cam & Roller

The visual inspection for the condition of all fuel & exhaust cam and roller were carried
out through the inspection cover. Running surface of cam & roller was still showed no
scratch mark & rust. Found in good condition.

1.3 Scavenge air receiver & air cooler


The visual inspection for the condition of cylinder liners, piston rings and piston skirts
were carried out through the scavenge air port after C.F.W, main L.O pump operation &
pre-lubrication. All flap valves in scav. receiver are well installed and functioned.

2. Measurement & Adjustment of engine performance

Engine performance measurement was taken on the mentioned vessel during sea trial
on 30th Aug. 2010.

2.1 All cylinder balance & Pmax check.

These measurements showed that Pmax/Pcomp were little lower than the shop test
result of SETA3017 as shown in enclosed performance measurement sheet & curves.
And fuel index lower more than shop test(about 7). So, changed poffset of V.I.T
parameter from 0 to 12 at during sea trial.

2.2 Endurance test

The 50, 75, 85, 100% load endurance test was carried out recorded performance data
& took out indicator diagram to every load.(please refer to check list)

3. General test and other

3.1 Starting test

The starting test carried out 21times successful / 2 bottle(30bar) at E.C.R.

3.2 Slow down & Shut down test

The carried out Slow down & Shut down test as below
