COURSE TITLE: Teaching Science in Elementary Grades (Physics and Earth and Space Science)
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course includes spiraling basic science concepts and application of science inquiry in Physics and Earth and Space, strategies in teaching elementary
science, development of instructional materials and assessment. Content topics in Physics include Force and Motion, and Energy while Earth and Space Science
include Geology, Meteorology, and Astronomy.

PROGRAM GOAL:
The BEEd degree program aims to develop highly motivated and competent teachers specializing in the content and pedagogy of elementary education.

▪ Facilitate learning using a wide range of teaching methodologies and delivery modes appropriate to specific learners and their environments.

COURSE OUTCOMES:
At the end of this course, the students are expected to have a deep understanding of Science framework, spiraling basic science concepts, and application
of science inquiry in Physics and Earth and Space Science. Gain pedagogical knowledge, the use of varied strategies, and utilization of technology for teaching
and learning in elementary science level. Show skills in the development of appropriate instructional materials and assessment tools and assessing learning
through demonstration teaching.
