Key Responsibilities

 Promote the company’s safety and workplace culture and adhere to the federal, provincial and
company policies and procedures.
 Ensure that all company employees, our clients and the general public enjoy a safe working
environment on our construction sites.
 Planning, organizing, and directing the day-to-day survey activities according to schedule,
specifications and budget.
 Use client prepared data (XML and CVS) to analyse and integrate track geometry data and
display the track geometry (absolute geometry) in a digital format.
 Support construction crews with layout and off set surveys.
 Resolving work method problems and create measures to improve productivity and quality.
 Review and analyse as-built survey (internal / external) vs. design.
 Maintain NAD 83 project survey control points and coordinate changing density of such point to
achieve the required tolerances.
 Maintain and calibrate survey equipment.
 Perform related administrative task such as preparation of production reports, review and
approval of time sheets and expenses.

Qualifications and Skills


 Bachelor's degree in geomatics engineering or survey engineering, or a college diploma in survey
science or geomatics.
 Minimum of 7+ years of work experience as a surveyor for infrastructure projects.
 Experience in railway infrastructure projects or transit rail projects is an asset.
 Valid drivers license (G for Ontario or 5 for Quebec) and a good driving record.
 Thoroughly understanding of all aspects of layout, off set and as built survey, including the ability
to read and understand construction drawing and technical specifications.
 Excellent verbal and writing communication skills.
 Computer skills shall include advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
 Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
 Some travel away from home is required, some weekends and night work.
 Ability to speak/read/write in French language is an asset.
