Rachel is an exceptional student and it has been an absolute pleasure working with her this semester. Rachel is always
on time, and always comes with a good attitude towards the students/ staff. Rachel is such a joy to work with because
she is always seeking ways to be better. I love that the goals she has set for herself are the goals that I have discussed
with her. She has made tremendous progress in the classroom as I have given her control over my kindergarteners. It is
truly fascinating to use her feedback loop in the AM class and then to fix it for the PM class. There is really nothing
negative that I can report, Rachel is always open to feedback and works on anything that I see that she can improve on,
she truly Is remarkable. She is such a great candidate for student teaching and is going to be an amazing teacher one
day.

Lesson topic and content area: Science: 5 senses with Pumpkins

Please observe a lesson your practicum student teaches. When complete, please share your feedback with the student
and he/she will turn the form in to me. Thank you for all your effort!

What I observed that went

well:
1. Reviewing previous lessons objectives
2. Explaining current objectives to students
3. allowing students explore their senses with Pumpkins
4. Using a highlighter (accommodation) to write words for students who cannot write full words right
now

5. Using Feedback loop to either reteach a part of the lesson or to help individual questions.
6. She is great at walking around and checking each student for understanding

Goals/things to work on:

1. Set high expectations for management and to follow through

a. If you say "class class" to catch attention, make sure you have 100% attention before moving
on
2. Use more Positive feedback when interacting with students
a. And it is OKAY to have fun when speaking with students.
3. When using your feedback loop, if more than a few student have the same question, stop the lesson
and go over instructions again
