PRELIMINARY

A. Background
Natural disasters are disasters caused by events or a series of events caused by nature, including
earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, floods, droughts, hurricanes, and landslides.

B. Problem Formulation

From the above background, the formulation of the problem in this paper is about A tornado hits
3 sub-districts in Demak C. Purpose of Writing

The purpose of writing this paper is to find out How about the information about A tornado hits 3
sub-districts in Demak C. Purpose of Writing

DISCUSSION

A. A tornado hits 3 sub-districts in Demak, hundreds of houses are damaged

BPBD officers, TNI-Polri assisted by residents clean the rubble of a house that was hit by a tornado in
Karangsono Village, Demak. (iNews/Sukmawijaya)

A tornado hit three sub-districts in Demak Regency, Friday (26/2/2021). Hundreds of houses
were reported damaged by the wind. The tornado hit six villages in Demak Regency at around
07.00 WIB. The duration of the wind was not that long, but the damage caused was quite severe.

"The worst location was in Gemulak Village, about 300 houses were damaged, five of which
collapsed to the ground," said Sururi, Head of Sayung Sub-district. The tornado also caused two
residents of Gemulak Village to break their bones. One victim fell from the roof and another
victim was injured in the arm due to falling wood.

According to data from the Demak Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), a tornado
also occurred in Sidogemah Village and 50 houses were damaged. Furthermore, in Bedono
Village, 18 houses were damaged.

A similar disaster also occurred in Karangtengah District. A total of 22 houses were damaged in
Batu Village. Next, in Wonokerto Village, 53 houses were reported damaged. Meanwhile, in
Brakas Village, Dempet District, 14 houses were damaged. After the incident, the government
sent material assistance in the form of tiles, zinc, canopies or other types of roofs to repair the
damage. Meanwhile, nine houses that collapsed will be repaired through the house renovation
budget.

A. Conclusion

B. Suggestion

Natural events that occur sometimes are God's warnings to us so that we can improve ourselves
to the right path, therefore fix ourselves so that we avoid the wrath of God
