Client: GMR Project: DIAL Backup Administrator

Description:
Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) is a joint venture, formed as a consortium
between GMR Group (54%), Airports Authority of India (26%), and Fraport AG &Eraman Malaysia
(10% each). DIAL believe in creating passenger delight every time they fly and this has been reflected
in every facet of the airport. There are three members of team where I involved in doing following
tasks:-

Task & Responsibilities:

 Created and implemented custom restore requests varying from full system restores
to specific single file restores.
 Installed and configured backup according to specific customer requirements.
 Managed and maintained backup operations in Delhi International Airport.
 Configured policy requirement according to User’s criteria for backup.
 Worked with business units on daily support issues using BMC Remedy and in house
ticket tracking system.
 Managing major issue like: -Os Corrupt during Backup, Connection issue, NBDB
related issue and VM related issues.

 Working to optimise backup infrastructure with NDMP, disks, software and different
OS types.
 Capacity management for the backup environment.
 Trouble shooting Backup and Restore related problems and Server Monitoring.
 Project tasks to decommission legacy backup infrastructure and refresh.
 Day to day operational administration tasks to ensure backups are occurring and
failures are being identified and addressed.
 Monitor and maintain all backup infrastructure including servers, tape libraries, and
