I disprove Paul Churchland’s philosophy for we have different
perspectives or beliefs on how he understands the idea of materialism and dualism. Eliminative Materialism is the view that our ordinary understanding of our mind is wrong, that since the mind cannot be experienced by our senses, then the mind does not exist. What exists is the physical brain and not the mind and that is something that I don’t agree with. He came up with all these things because he contradicts the idea of dualism, the idea that the mind and body are distinctly separate. The idea of Churchland was not enough to convince me since I was presented by the idea of dualism before materialism and I prefer the idea of the mind and body being united and that the body is empty without the mind and vice versa.
