Practice Exercise G
Description
This assignment is intended to help you create a visual for your report. This practice exercise
differs from other practice exercises because you will be asked to submit to an assignment
folder.

Instructions

Part 1

1. In Workshop 1, you analysed a survey.

2. After analysing the survey, you were asked to identify a strength or weakness to conduct
further research to see what information exists on the issue.
3. In this practice exercise, create a visual to demonstrate and help explain, why you chose
the opportunity over others in the survey.,

Part 2

1. Open Excel and transfer the data from the survey you have been assigned into Excel in
order to create a visual.
2.  Create visual in Excel with the appropriate titles and labels
o Title
Make sure visual has a title.
o Labels
Make sure the visual is properly labeled, including the values for each item.
o Clear Message
Make sure the visual presents a clear message.
3. Copy the visual into a Word document.
o Beneath the visual, explain what the visual represents and why you chose to do
further research on it.

Part 3

1. Submit the both the Excel Spreadsheet and Word document into the Practice Exercise G
Submission Folder. 
o If you have not completed the Practice Exercise by the end of the lab, submit the
Excel spreadsheet you have been working on by the end of the lab.
 o Submission folders can be accessed by clicking Course Tools and
then Assignments on the course navigation bar.
2. After you submitted your visual to the Submission Folder, go to the next page (Compare
Your Answer) and click on the OPEN COMPARISON to compare your submission
with the sample.
3. While reviewing the comparison, go to the page after Compare Your Answer to complete
and submit the Self-Assessment for the Practice Exercise.

How to Submit Your Assignment

Submit your completed visual in a Word document into the Practice Exercise G Submission
Folder in eConestoga. Submission folders can be accessed by clicking Course Tools and
then Assignments on the course navigation bar above.

Submit only Word documents.

How your Assignment Will Be Graded

You must complete the Self-Assessment for this Practice Exercise to earn a grade.

After submitting your Practice Exercise to the Submission Folder, open it so that you can
compare it to the Practice Exercise G Sample Answers before completing your self-assessment.
