The aim of this experiment:

To check the accuracy of a Bourdon tube pressure gauge using dead
weight tester. INTRODUCTION: Many types of gauges are available for
measurement of pressure. The Bourdon gauge (named after its
inventor Bourdon) uses the deflection of a tube of oval cross-section to
cause to cause a pointer to move over a scale.
INTRODUCTION:
Instrument calibration is one of the primary processes used to
maintain instrument accuracy. It is the process of configuring an
instrument to provide results within an acceptable range. A Dead
Weight Calibrator uses known weights to apply pressure to a fluid
for checking the accuracy of readings from a pressure gage.

Theory :
Theory The use of the piston and weights with the cylinder
generates a measurable reference pressure:

Discussion :
 The analysis of the collected data from calibration of Bourdon
Gauge in this experiment allowed for a sufficient overview of the
calibration measurement. According to analysis the data we
obtained from the Bourdon gauge, I found calibration is important
for meter. In this experiment, the data in my team is not so
accurate. Friction, backlash and The absolute error and the
relative error are higher than expectation. The accuracy is lower
than the standard.
