blessed sacrament.
Presider:
Presider:
Lord we ask you to open our minds and hearts to your Spirit.
Help all of us to be open and ever discerning of Your will for
2
our lives. We pray that all of us may respond generously and
lovingly to unique calling to a state of life that you have
designed us to live and have planned for us. We pray to have
hearts as Mary, always freely and joyfully saying “yes” to you
in all your plans; that we may say with Mary “Be it done unto
me according to your will, Lord!”
After a brief moment of silent adoration, all recite the following prayer.
OPENING PRAYER
R. Amen.

patience, bearing with one another through love, striving to
preserve the unity of the Spirit through the bind of peace: one Body
and one Spirit, as you were also called to the one hope of your call;
one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is
over all and through all and in all. But grace was given to each of
us according to the measure of Christ’s gift. And he gave some as
Apostles, others as prophets, others as evangelists, others as pastors
and teachers, to equip the holy ones for the work of ministry, for
building up the Body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of
faith and knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the
extent of the full stature of Christ.
On Eagles Wings
You who dwell in the shelter of the Lord who abides in his shadow
for life. Say to the Lord my refuge my God in whom I trust.
And he will raise you up on eagles wings, bear you on the breath of
dawn, make you to shine like the sun, and hold you in the palm of
his hand.
The snare of the fowler will never capture you and famine will bring
you no fear under his wings your refuge, his faithfulness your
shield.
You need not fear the terror of the night nor the arrow that flies by
day; though thousands fall about you near you it shall not come.
For to his angels he’s given a command, to guide you in all of your
ways, upon their hands they will bear you up, lest you dash your
foot upon a stone.

1 Corinthians 9:16 -19, 22-23
A reading from the first Letter of Saint Paul to the Corinthians
Brothers and sisters: If I preach the gospel, this is no reason for me
to boast, for an obligation has been imposed on me, and woe to me
if I do not preach it! If I do so willingly, I have a recompense, but
if unwillingly, then I have been entrusted with a stewardship. What
then is my recompense? That, when I preach, I offer the gospel free
of charge so as not to make full use of my right in the gospel.
Although I am free in regard to all, I have made myself a slave to
all so as to win over as many as possible. To the weak I became a
weak, to win over the weak. I have become all things to all, to save
at least some. All this I do for the sake of the gospel, so that I too
may have a share in it.
Awit ng Paghahangad

Gunita koy ikaw habang nahihimlay pagkat ang tulong mong sa

buong galak.
1 Samuel 3:3b-10, 19
A reading from the First Book of Samuel
Samuel was sleeping in the temple of the Lord where the ark of God
was. The Lord called Samuel, who answered, “Here I am.” Samuel
ran to Eli and said, “Here I am. You called me.” “I did not call you,”
Eli said. “Go back to sleep.” So he went back to sleep. Again the
Lord called Samuel, who rose and went to Eli. “Here I am,” he said.
“You called me.” But Eli answered, “I did not call you, my son. Go
back to sleep.”
At that time Samuel was not familiar with the Lord, because the
Lord had nor revealed anything to him as yet. The Lord called
Samuel again, for the third time. Getting up and going to Eli, he
said, “Here I am. You called me.”
Then Eli understood that the Lord was calling the youth. So he said
to Samuel, “Go to sleep, and if you are called, reply, Speak, Lord,
for your servant is listening.” When Samuel went to sleep in his
place, the Lord came and revealed his presence, calling out as
before, “Samuel, Samuel!” Samuel answered, “Speak, for your
servant is listening.”
Samuel grew up, and the Lord was with him, not permitting any
word of his to be without effect.

OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST, PRIEST AND VICTIM
Priest:
7
Jesus Priest sent by God to preach the gospel to the poor,
Jesus Priest who at the last supper instituted the
form of the eternal sacrifice,
Jesus Priest living forever to make intercession for us,
Jesus High priest whom the Father annointed
with the Holy Spirit and virtue,
Jesus High priest taken up from among men,
Jesus high priest for men,
Jesus high priest of our confession of faith,
Jesus high priest of greater glory than Moses,
Jesus high priest of the true tabernacle,
Jesus high priest of good things to come,
Jesus holy high priest innocent and undefiled,
Jesus faithful and merciful high priest,
Jesus high priest of God on fire with zeal for souls,
Jesus perfect high priest forever,
Jesus high priest who pierced heaven with your own blood,
Jesus who initiated us into a new life,

of our sins in your blood,

as offering and victim,
Jesus sacrificial victim of God and man,
Jesus mild and gentle sacrificial victim,

8
From sordid self-interest,
From every lapse into simony,
From the unworthy administration of the church’s treasures,
From the love of the world and its vanities,
From the unworthy celebrations of your mysteries,
Through your eternal priesthood,
Through the holy anointing by which God the Father
made you a priest,
Through your priestly spirit,
Through your ministry by which you glorified your Father
on this earth,
Through the bloody immolation of yourself made once
and for all on the cross,
Through that same sacrifice daily renewed on the altar,
Through the divine power that you exercise invisibly
in your priests,

Jesus our Priest, R. Hear us
Jesus our Priest, R. graciously hear us
My son, take care of your father when he is old; grieve him not as
long as he lives. Even if his mind fail, be considerate of him; revile
him not all the days of his life; kindness to a father will not be
forgotten, firmly planted against the debt of your sins- a house
raised in justice to you.

Umasa ka sa Diyos

Our Saviour,
sent by the Father to reveal His merciful love,
give to your Church the gift
of young people who are ready to put out into the deep,
to be the sign among their brothers
of Your presence which renews and saves.

GOSPEL
Matthew 9:35-38
A reading from the holy Gospel according to Matthew
Jesus went around all the towns and villages, teaching in their
synagogues, proclaiming the Gospel of the Kingdom, and curing
every disease and illness. At the sight of the crowds, his heart was
moved with pity for them because they were troubled and
abandoned, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his
disciples, “The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; so ask
the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest.”
GENERAL INTERCESSIONS
12
Presider: Let us ask our Heavenly Father who chose His Son to
be the eternal high priest. Full of confidence we ask for
guidance and strength in our own priestly ministry:
N. We pary that you may grant continual blessing upon all priests
that we may become true bringers of peace and hope for your
people:
N. We pray that you teach us all to choose the better part, to find
you in all things at all times in moments of triumph but most
especially in in times of suffering:
N. We pray for all our elder brothers in the ministry that they may
be given renewed strength as they enter this stage of their priestly
life:
N. We pray for priests in crises that they may experience your help,
guidance and consolation in their life as they adress with heroic
fidelity the challenges they are undergoing:
N. We pray for all our brothers who have passed away, may your
perpetual light shine upon them as they forever enjoy the vision of
your glory:
Presider:
Let us pray with confidence in the words our Savior gave us:
13
Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy
kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give
us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we
forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into
temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen
