1. What will I do once I become a computer engineer?
We, computer engineers evaluate, design, and maintain computer hardware and software
systems. We develop, test, and design, computer processors, circuit boards, and network
systems. We also resolve problems or address any concerns that occur with the hardware
or software and aid in the advancement of computer technology.

2. What is my expectations once I graduate?

My expectations once I graduate is to continue to thrive for my dreams get a decent job
repay for what my parents done for us for the hard work and sacrifices.
3. What skills would I have learned at the end of the course?
Probably all about programming solving problems as a computer engineer and also to
improve some of my skills about computer technology.

In relation with our class discussion, answer the following.

1. What does Computer Engineers do?
Computer hardware engineers research, design, develop, and test computer systems and
components such as circuit boards. Computer hardware engineers research, design,
develop, and test computer systems and components such as processors, circuit boards,
memory devices, networks, and routers.
2. Where do Computer Engineers Work and in what roles?
Computer engineers work for computer companies such as Intel, HP, and Texas
Instruments, and also in industries that build or use computer-based systems, such as
telecommunications, automotive, aerospace, etc. Many computer engineers also get jobs
as programmers.

3. What are the typical job duties and responsibilities of a Computer Engineer?
A Computer Engineer, or Software Engineer, is responsible for designing computer
systems, software and hardware applications. Their duties include creating various types
of hardware and software like routers, circuit boards or computer programs; testing their
designs to correct defects and overseeing computer networks.
4. Who are the 5 greatest computer engineers of all time?
Jack Dorsey - Born in 1976, Jack Dorsey is a computer programmer and internet
entrepreneur as well as the CEO of Twitter. By the age of 14, he had shown an interest in
software and started creating his own open-source programs at a young age, some of
which is used by taxi companies today.
Steve McConnell - If you are or have studied software engineering then the chances are
that you have come across Steven McConnell. Author of leading software engineering
textbooks such as Code Complete, Software Estimation, and Rapid Development he is
considered as an expert in the field.
Michael Widenius - Michael Widenius is the original author of the open-source MySQL
database. He dropped out of the Helsinki University of Technology in 1981 and started
working for a data housing company. Then in 1995, he wrote the first version of the
MySQL database with David Axmark and released it in 1996.
Mark Zuckerberg - Unless you have been living under a rock for the last 15 years, the
chances are that you know who Mark Zuckerberg is. The American technology
entrepreneur is best known for co-founding and being the CEO of Facebook. He attended
Harvard University where he launched Facebook from his dorm room in 2004. Since
then, Facebook has become the most used social media platform in the world and his
personal net worth is believed to be over $73 billion as of the end of 2018.
Max Levchin - This Ukranian-born American computer scientist is best known for co-
founding the company that would go on to become PayPal. He is also well-known for co-
creating the Gausebeck-Levchin test which was one of the first commercial
implementations of the CAPTCHA challenge human response test. Born in Kiev, he
moved to the US in 1991 and studied at the University of Illinois where he earned a
bachelor’s degree in computer science in 1997.
