Abstract
The important notes on the development of art from prehistoric times to
postmodern times, which are thousands of years old, it is too short to be covered in one course for one semester. To build the expertise of the graduates of the Study Program in the Independent Perspective of Learning on the Independent Campus, a technique is needed to make it easier for students to master the History of Archipelago Art. Learning activities used to carried out by memorizing and rearranging the facts, concepts, procedures and principes learned to be summerize using their own language. Since the History of Archipelago Art, which is theoretical, sometimes it is not a favorite for students whose learning tendencies are dominant in motor skills. In fact, this course is mandatory and must pass with good grades, while so far, for theoretical courses, the average student gets low scores, especially for male students. It is known that students have limited reference books or reading journals related to art. And also having a bad reading habit and lack of awareness to find supplementary materials for studying the development of Archipelago Art. The cluster technique is considered very suitable for developing art history learning information because students can easily classify the information obtained based on the timeline of its development history including the distribution of artifacts on the types of paintings, sculptures, crafts, and architecture as well as information on knowledge of tools, materials and the process of making works. The method used is quasi-experimental, with a one-group posttest only design. The students who were the respondents were students who took the Archipelago Art History class in the January-June 2019 semester. The activity took place right at the time of learning that was affected by Covid-19, as a result, some of the agendas were carried out online, as well as the learning evaluation. Based on the results of the study, it obtained an average satisfactory result for each task completion submitted by students to the lecturer in charge of the course. Thus, it is concluded that the application of the cluster technique has been in accordance with the main objectives and functions of its application and it is hoped that in the future it can be improved even better, and can also be implemented in other theoretical subjects.

ABSTRAK
Catatan penting perkembangan seni rupa dari zaman prasejarah hingga
postmodern yang lamanya ribuan tahun, terlalu singkat untuk diulas dalam satu mata kuliah selama satu semester. Untuk membangun keahlian lulusan Program Studi dalam Perspektif Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka, dibutuhkan satu teknik untuk memudahkan mahasiswa menguasai mata kuliah Sejarah Seni Rupa Nusantara. Biasanya aktivitas pada mata kuliah ini dilaksanakan dengan cara menghafal dan menyusun kembali fakta, konsep, prosedur dan prinsip yang dipelajari untuk dirangkum menggunakan bahasa sendiri. Karena mata kuliah Sejarah Seni Rupa Nusantara yang sifatnya teoretis, terkadang tidak menjadi favorit bagi para mahasiswa yang kecenderungan belajarnya dominan motorik skills. Padahal mata kuliah ini wajib diambil dan harus lulus dengan nilai baik sementara selama ini untuk mata kuliah teoretis rata-rata mahasiswa memperoleh nilai rendah terutama bagi mahasiswa laki-laki. Diketahui bahwa mahasiswa memiliki buku referensi atau bacaan jurnal terkait seni rupa yang terbatas. Dan juga kebiasaan membaca yang buruk dan tidak adanya kesadaran untuk menemukan sendiri materi suplemen untuk mengkaji perkembangan Seni Rupa Nusantara. Teknik cluster dianggap sangat sesuai untuk mengembangkan informasi pembelajaran sejarah seni karena mahasiswa dapat dengan mudah mengelompokkan informasi yang diperoleh berdasarkan timeline history perkembangannya termasuk pembagian artifak pada jenis karya lukis, patung, kriya dan arsitektur berikut informasi pengetahuan alat, bahan dan proses pembuatan karya. Metode yang digunakan adalah quasi- eksperimen, dengan one-group posttest only design. Mahasiswa yang menjadi respondennya adalah mahasiswa yang mengambil kelas Sejarah Seni Rupa Nusantara pada semester Januari-Juni 2019. Kegiatan berlangsung tepat di saat pembelajaran terdampak Covid-19, sehingga sebagian agenda dilaksanakan secara daring, demikian juga dengan evaluasi pembelajaran. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh rata-rata hasil yang memuaskan untuk setiap penyelesaian tugas yang diserahkan mahasiswa kepada dosen pengampu mata kuliah. Dengan demikian disimpulkan bahwa penerapan teknik cluster telah sesuai dengan tujuan pokok dan fungsi penerapannya dan diharapkan di masa yang akan datang dapat ditingkatkan lebih baik lagi, dan juga dapat diimplementasikan pada mata kuliah lain yang sifatnya teoretis.
