1. Make a reflection about the movie “Ganito kami noon, paano kayo ngayon?” and adapt the
situation on the 21st century.

Ganito Kami Noon, Paano Kayo Ngayon is a film that depicts the struggle for Philippine
independence as well as the daily lives of ordinary Filipinos. The story begins when our Kulas
Ocampo meet Padre Gil later become his friend, Padre Gil ask favor to Kulas to find his child
Bindoy and bring him. While Kulas in journey going back to Padre Gil, Kulas meet the beautiful
actress Diding who has a lot of passion and is great at achieving her goals, captures Kulas' heart.

After Kulas complete the mission given him by Padre Gil, Padre Gil had left Kulas with a lifelong
wealth and the obligation of caring for Bindoy as he flew back to Spain. Kulas was horrified and
filled with rage at Don Tibor, whom he quickly discovered to be a rich and arrogant elite, and
Diding's unfaithfulness. Don Tibor's wife, Diding, overheard the news and later asked Kulas to
marry her. After hearing what Kulas had to say, he made the correct decision to leave Diding and
return to his province.

The film depicts the lives of Filipinos under the rule of their colonizers. It has clearly
demonstrated Filipinos' inferiority in their own country, and obscuring the concept of national
identity. The film also depicts scenes of war, which may depict current real-life feuds in our
country.

liberty and nationalism for which our heroes fought and died.
It is fitting that in remembering them, particularly the national hero and patriot Jose Rizal, we
remember their lives and works that have created the national character with great warmth and
loyalty.
Jose Rizal's life, works, and writing, particularly his novels Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo,
are a constant and inspiring source of patriotism with which the minds of the children,
particularly during their formative and important school years, should be infused.
The State supervises and regulates all educational institutions, and all schools are obligated to
