A. Introduction ● The learners will read and answer the following activity provided for

1 Day the subject matter. They may use the attached activity sheets or a
piece of paper for their answers.

Do you remember during your childhood days, when you and your
playmates were playing “luto-lutuan” or “bahay-bahayan” where both of
you are enjoying cooking different leaves while using a piece of wood as a
knife and large leaf as a plate? As you grow up, have you ever observed
your mother or any member of the family or even yourself using these
essentials inside your kitchen?

Kitchen tools and equipment is a great help in achieving these appetizing


foods you eat every day. Some of these tools really help the cook in
achieving wonderful chops, slices and neatly mince raw ingredients. It is
important to use appropriate kitchen tools and equipment for a certain
recipe to avoid mess and wastage of ingredients.

In this lesson you can enhance your learning about the different kitchen

CRISPY FRIED CHICKEN

1. In a large shallow dish, combine 2-2/3


cups flour, 2 tablespoons garlic, salt, 1
tablespoon paprika, 2-1/2 teaspoons
pepper and 2-1/2 teaspoons poultry
seasoning. In another shallow dish, beat
eggs and 1-1/2 cups water; add 1
teaspoon salt and the remaining 1-1/3 cup flour and 1/2
teaspoon pepper. Dip chicken in egg mixture, then place in the
