Ministry of Education Malaysia
The Quick Facts series have a long-standing reputation as an imperative reference that provide
accurate and concise educational data and statistics. This pocket-sized book provides current
information pertaining to student enrolment, teachers and schools at the pre-schools to tertiary
levels, public examinations, educational expenditures, international education indicators, the
country’s performance in international assesment and Malaysia’s performance on selected
indicators in international competitiveness report and also basic demographic information.
In the Quick Facts 2020, we have expanded the scope by including new tables on GENIUS
educational programme.
I believe this publication will be able to provide wide-ranging benefits to various of educational
policy makers, planners and researchers, and will also help other agencies, and international
organizations to better understand the Malaysian education system.
Hence, I would like to convey my heartfelt gratitute and appreciations to all divisions in the
Ministry of Education and other government and private agencies for their contribution in this
publication. Finally, I would like to congratulate those who have been involved in publishing
this comprehensive statistical publication such as the Quick Facts 2020.
