PAVILION RESERVATION APPLICATION

The pavilions and open areas within Williamsport parks are available to the public. However,
large groups and organizations wishing to hold an event at a park pavilion must submit a
reservation request, including a $20.00 reservation fee, to reserve a pavilion. Please make
checks payable to the River Valley Regional YMCA and include payment with application.

An event with 50 or more participants requires a Special Events Permit from the City of
Williamsport. There is a $5.00 fee to obtain a Special Events Permit. Other special requests
or needs for your event may require other permits and/or the payment of other fees.

Rental Responsibilities and Rules
1. The sale of food or retail items in the park areas is prohibited without approval from the
Williamsport Recreation Commission, and the Department of Codes.
2. All trash, garbage and litter shall be deposited in the refuse cans provided. If the litter is not
cleaned up there may be a Litter Fine imposed on the contact person for the event.
3. Absolutely no alcoholic beverages, illegal substances, or weapons are allowed in the park.
4. Applicant will be held responsible for any damages that occur during the rental period.
5. Destruction or removing of park property is strongly prohibited.
6. The Williamsport YMCA and The City of Williamsport are not responsible for any equipment
brought into the park by the applicant.
7. Use of specialized equipment such as generators or sound systems must have prior approval from
the Department of Codes.
8. The standard arrangement of picnic tables are two rows down the length of the pavilion, should
the user need to rearrange table locations, user will be responsible for placing back to the standard
arrangement prior to departure.  Shaw Place and Young’s Woods are single rows down center of
pavilion.

Park Hours
Between 8:30am and 9:00pm

Special authorized scheduled events may exceed this time period with prior approval from the
Williamsport Recreational Commission and (if applicable) the Brandon Park Commission.

Trespassing after hours is illegal.

Vehicular Traffic
All non-licensed motorized vehicles are banned.

Operation of recreational vehicles is forbidden.

Washing, repairing, servicing or abandonment of vehicles is prohibited.

All other laws pertaining to motor vehicles in general shall apply to vehicular traffic in the park and
recreation areas.
