The Barrio Fresh Restaurant is owned by Mark Kevin Reotita, Angelica Pescador,
and Joyce Anne Patubo that is located at Pangada Sta. Catalina, Ilocos Sur. It is called
"Barrio Fresh Restaurant" for the reason that the setting of the restaurant is a farm type
that offers different fresh and healthy local foods experience that will delight the
customers and will definitely be back for another meal. Barrio Fresh Restaurant will
catch the interest of a regular loyal customer through maintaining the variety of
nutritious food and fast service that will be rendered to the customers. Wood dominates
the theme of the restaurant; and with the breeze wafting in, it makes for a very rustic
and provincial atmosphere. It will build a strong position in the barrio by offering its
products at a competitive price and quality products.

Barrio Fresh Restaurant is a farm type where you can relax to dine. We focus on
different healthy fresh vegetables local food and grilled chicken and meat. We will be
located at the Pangada Sta. Catalina, Ilocos Sur. It is a good place to put up such a
business because it is along the barangay road.

The area is in need of comforting and relaxing place to dine-in. The place you can
relax, it has a comfortable furnishing and décor with a soothing ambiance. It is open

1. Executive Summary

Fast-food restaurants provide quick meals to people on the go and offer an


alternative to traditional, sit-down restaurants. Customers will loving the homey style
and can relax through the ambiance of a barrio-type restaurant. Enjoying the fresh air
came from the farm and the delicious taste of the local foods and fast services that will
be rendered to the customers.

MISSION
To sell delicious and remarkable food and beverage to match our location, to
consistently provide our customers with impeccable service by demonstrating warmth,
graciousness, efficiency, knowledge, professionalism and integrity to our work. To have
every customer who comes through our door greeted or acknowledged, and thanked at
least once for allowing us to serve and to leave impressed. To provide all who works
with us the tools to be their best in a friendly, cooperative, and rewarding environment.
To keep our concept fresh, exciting and on the edge of the hospitality industry.

MARK KEVIN REOTITA


I am Mark Kevin Reotita, 16 years of age and I am currently studying at Divine Word
College of Vigan. I am grade 11 and taking ABM Strand (Accountancy and Business
Management). I choose this strand because someday I want to handle a business and
learn how to manage it. I already experienced to handle a small business which is
“Carinderia” and it was so stressful because I don’t know yet how to handle it. So I
decided to be in this strand which is ABM.

ANGELICA PESCADOR
I am Angelica Pescador, 16 years old, a resident of Malingeb, Bantay, Ilocos Sur. I
graduated Junior High School at Divine Word College of Vigan and now I’m taking
Senior High School in the same school with the strand of Accountancy and Business
Management (ABM). I’m in this strand because in my future I want to become a
successful Business Woman. I am a compassionate and risk-taker business woman.

JOYCE ANNE PATUBO


I am Joyce Anne Patubo, 16 years old, lives in Balaleng Centro Bantay Ilocos Sur. I
graduated Junior High School at Divine Word College of Vigan. I am now grade 11 and
taking ABM Strand (Accountancy and Business Management). I choose this strand
because I want to handle and manage a business. I already experienced how to handle
a business and I want to learn more.

2. Owner’s Background
We want to run a business because it’s our passion. We love to cook, we love to
eat and we want to have a business. Instead of going to other restaurants, we decided
to make our own restaurant. We are doing and having what we want and at the same
time, we are satisfying the needs of our customers. Its allow us to be more creative and
to express ourselves.

Barrio Fresh Restaurant would like to offer to you this following product
CHICKEN

 Chicken Adobo is a popular Filipino dish and cooking process in


Filipino cuisine that involves: chicken, marinated in vinegar, soy
sauce, garlic and black peppercorns.

 Chicken Barbecue is consists of chicken parts or entire chickens


that are barbecued, grilled or smoked. Chicken barbeque is
coated in a spice rub, barbecue sauce or both.

 Tinola is a soup-based dish served as an appetizer or


main entrée in the Philippines.

 Chicken Afritada is a Filipino stew made of chicken pieces,


potatoes, carrots and bell peppers cooked in fresh tomatoes.

 Ginataang Manok is a Filipino chicken dish flavoured with ginger


and coconut milk.

PORK MEAT

 Pork Bistek is made up from thin slices of beef marinated in a


mixture of soy sauce, calamansi and spices.

 Pork Adobo with Sitaw is a sitaw vegetable dish cooked adobo


style with pork belly strips.

 Pork Chop Sinigang is one of the best Filipino


recipes. The taste is distinctively

 Pork Baby Back Ribs Nilaga is a version of Nilagang Baboy that


makes use of back ribs.

 Pork Ginataan with Squash and String Beans is a rich and


delicious Filipino dish that makes use of pork, coconut milk, and
vegetables such as squash and string beans.

VEGETABLES

 Pinakbet is a tasty vegetables dish made – of different fresh


vegetables, meat and bagoong taste.

 Dinengdeng / Inabrawis a dish of Ilocano, assorted


vegetable cook with bagoong to taste.

 Chopsuey is a dish in American Chinese


cuisine and other forms of overseas Chinese cuisine,
consisting of meat and eggs, cooked quickly with
vegetables such as bean sprouts, cabbage, and celery
and bound in a starch – thickened sauce.

 Ginisang Paksiw na Okra is a very famous dish among the Ilocanos. The okra is
usually cooked in bagoong sauce and vinegar.

 Poqui – Poqui grilled eggplant sauté with onions tomatoes and


egg.

We are not going to sell some of our product/service like Pork Baby Back Ribs
Nilaga, Ginataang Manok, and Chicken Afritada because we are just beginners and we
want to take it slowly to see its progress. We’ll see if there’s a lot of people will go to our
restaurant. We will just going to sell it if the number of our customer will increase and if
they recommend some ideas to improve the quality of our product, we will follow or
accept their recommendation and after that we will going to sell it.

4. The market

Barrio Fresh restaurant has targeted 3 main customers. The primary customers are
the residents nearby the restaurant especially when they want to save for their
transportation instead going into the city. Second are the motorists and tourists who
wanted to take a rest for it is a good site to take a rest, enjoy their food and its
refreshing ambiance. And lastly are the workers nearby the restaurant who wants to
take a break and experience dining-in to a relaxing atmosphere. Our customers based
from Vigan, nearby town, Santa Catalina, San Vicente, Caoayan, Manila, and from
other country.

Our restaurant has a great quality of products because our products are delicious
and budget-friendly. Our business is friendly and comfortable to dine in. Our restaurant
has a bright and cheerful ambiance. Our restaurant has a wide parking area. And we
have enough space for eating.

The factors that helps our customers choose which business to buy first is the
image, the image of our business is more in tune with the customer’s own tastes and
desires. Next, the personality of our business is friendly and one they feel comfortable
with. Remember, personality begins with you and the people who work for you. The
convenience, our business practices should be convenient for our customers, not you.
Depending on our business, that means being open, available, or accessible when our
customers need you; finding a good location; offering great parking; and ensuring a
bright and cheerful ambiance to your office, store, place of business, and even our Web
site! The service, market research shows that what customers want most from any
business they patronize is good, old-fashioned service.

The uniqueness, you can find no more-certain way to attract customers than to


offer something they can’t get elsewhere. Lastly the price, if we’re only selling price, we
have to continue to its lower price, or come up with even better terms, on an on-going
basis in order to continue to attract new and existing customers. Make sure we’re

fresh foods they prefer to dine in whether the Barrio Fresh Restaurant, Cosina Ilocana
Restaurant, Kusina Felicitas or Lampong’s Restaurant.

Meanwhile, this becomes the result out of 80 individuals proven that Barrio
Fresh Restaurant strives more among the four Restaurants with 32% votes. Followed
by Cosina Ilocana Restaurant with 26%, Kusina Felicitas Restaurant with 24%, and
lastly for Lampong’s Restaurant gets only 18%.

10. Back-up Plan
This is our back-up plan in case our restaurant failed.
Short - term Plan:
We will add some facilities in our restaurant like television, air-condition etc.
Treat our new guests like they’re regulars.
We will offer a discount every special holiday like Birthdays, Anniversaries,
Christmas and etc.
Long - term Plan:
We will extend our restaurant.
After a year we want to open one more branch.
They can rent our restaurant like birthdays, christenings and etc. because we
acquired additional space.
Plan B
In case for unnecessary problem or activities will come to our restaurant we have a plan
so that we can solve it. Our plans are the following:
We will be going to reset our product. We will add some more delicious food/s
and drink/s in our restaurant.
Our restaurant will lower the price, because that’s our customers recommended.
