Protocol specifications of data transmission


from Host to Elfolab and from Elfolab to Host
The data exchange happens by a file in “.Asc” format. The directories of import and export, the
names of the input and output files are chosen by the user.

Export specifications (Elfolab → Host)


Elfolab exports to Host 81 fields. The fields are described in the following table.

Export Immunofixations (Elfolab → Host)

• From Elfolab 17.4.5 it is possible to export the Immunofixations Image in “jpg” format.
• In the Elfolab menu “Settings->General Parameters” the Parameter “Export
Immunofixations Images” must to be settled on “Yes”.
• For each record with an Immunofixations the image will be exported in the Export
directory.
• The name of exported image will be the “Sample ID” Field (Field 1 of export).
• If “Sample ID” field (Field 1 of export) is empty the image will not be exported.
• The path file will be memorized in the Export file at the Field 38.

NOTES

• If the field “Sample ID" is empty (#NULL#) all the respective line won’t
import.
• If a field has value “NULL” then Elfolab will export #NULL# for this
field.
• Differently from the previous protocols the number of records of the
import or export records is not predefined but it depends on the number
of samples imported or exported.
• STX =ASCII char 2
• ETX =ASCII char 3
• ENQ =ASCII char 5
• ACK =ASCII char 6
