Isolation valve
Isolation valves can be selected that allows
sensor(s) to be removed or replaced without
interrupting the flow in the pipe. They are
available for both standard and high tem-
perature flowmeters. In single measurement
configuration the isolation valve is a stand-
alone divice. It attaches to the flowmeter
body in the location normally occupied by
the sensor and bonnet. The sensor is then
mounted on the isolation valve. For dual
measurement configurations, two independ-
ent isolation valves are built into the mani-
fold.

the user with redundant sensors and electro-

(a) Normal m3/h (NCMH) values are given at selected base conditions of 0°C and 101.325 kPa, absolute, with the low flow cut-in sel at its minimum value.
Standard ft3/h (SCFH) values are given at selected base conditions of 60°F and 14.7 psia, with the low flow cut-in sel at its minimum value. For values for
other gases, at other than base conditions, refer to the KROHNE Program.
(b) A minimum upper range value (URV) of three times the minimum flow rate is recommended, The maximum URV equals the maximum flow rate.
For example, for a 25 mm analog output flowmeter at 0 kPa. gauge, the recommended minimum URV would be 3 x 4.6 or 13.8 NCMH and the maximum URV
would be 136 NCMH.

provides the environmental protection of NEMA Type 4X. The Stainless Steel material option has been designed, and materials
selected, to meet the requirements of NACE (National Association of
VFM 3100 W-T Waver-body flowmeter Corrosion Engineers) Standard MR-01.
VFM 3100-W must be properly aligned in the pipeline to provide
optimum accuracy. Alignment spacers are provided to achieve this
alignment. VFM 3100-W may be used with the flanges listed in Table 9.

Installation
To ensure proper functioning of the VFM 3100 F-T /W-T vortex flowmeter, the flow profile must be as undisturbed as possible when entering the
measuring tube. In the outlet section, flow obstructions such as valves should not affect development of the vortex street. The following points
should therefore be noted:

● The length of straight and unimpeded inlet and outlet runs ● Inside diameter of flowmeter same as that of pipeline.
upstream and downstream of the vortex flowmeter should be ● Install flowmeter in line with pipe axis, gaskets must not
