ENGINEERING PROFESSION PART 1

4 various fields :
a) Civil Engineering
 Deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physically and naturally built
environment including public works.
b) Chemimcal Engineering
 Involve with the factory project.
c) Electrical & Electronic Engineering
 Involve with the electrical works like electrical power supply etc.
d) Mechanical Engineering
 Involve with the mechanaries and deal with the factory at the most.

8 sub-discipline of Civil Engineering :

a) Structural engineering
 Structural engineering must understand about the structural for building and non-building. Not
every project will involve with architecs like main road, bridges, dams, factory atc.
b) Transportation engineering
 Study about the volume of traffic and base on the traffic data engineer will design the road.
c) Water resources engineering
 Water resources engineering cover for hydrology and hydraulics. Hydrology study about
occurance of natural water and hydraulics deal mostly with natural waters.
d) Geotechnical engineering
 Study about engineering behaviour of earth materials. Before start to built the foundation the
engineers will do the soil investigation to get the information in term of geotechnical data and
soil condition.
e) Environmental engineering
 Taking care about the environment quality especially for factory area.
f) Geoinfomatics
 Geoinformatics is the science and the technology which develops and uses information
science infrastructure to address the problems of geography, cartography, geosciences and
related branches of science and engineering.
g) Remote sensing
 To acquiring information about the earth such as geography, land surveying and most earth
science disciplines.
h) Construction management
 Mostly focus on construction field works. CM is a professional service to manage the project
in term of time/ delivery, cost and quality.
