TPE Application Information
For a period of 10 months, 100 young adults will undergo two (2) extensive, 5-day social
entrepreneurship capacity training including: 8-month continuous mentorship, and feedback
sessions, in two different rural communities. These participants will be encouraged to form
business network groups that will support their potential or growing businesses. Our desire is that
each participant would by the end of the trainings create or grow their business for profit, people
and planet.
PROJECT SCOPE
Target Group definition & Eligibility: Young adults between the ages of 20 to 35 that are
unemployed, underemployed or earn less than N25,000 monthly. Participants must be resident in
project location (Bauchi, Ikare or environs around these locations), excluding nonresident NYSC
members and students. Potential participants also need to know how to read and write, have a
business idea or a small business that they want to grow. Priority would be given to female
applicants, physically challenged individuals and highly motivated individuals willing to commit to
the 10 months intensive training project.
Project Locations: Bauchi and Ikare town (Ondo state) or villages around these two locations.
Time Period: November 2021 to August 2022
Project Activities:
✓ Intensive 5 days training on social entrepreneurship (part 1 & 2), total 10 days.
✓ Mentoring sessions, facilitated by resident mentors.
✓ Fund raising seminars
✓ Business group meetings and networking
✓ Business fair and graduation
Cost per participant: All activities are free for selected participants; however, each participant is
expected to pay their transport to the training venue or other project activity sites.
