3rd YEAR - CAREER PATH QUESTIONAIRE 2021/2022 - NO 1

NAME OF STUDENT: Libby Marshall

COURSE Trinity Diploma DT/MT: Musical theatre

1. WHAT AREA OF THE INDUSTRY DO YOU SEE YOURSELF WORKING IN, AND REALISTICALLY, WHAT DO
YOU SEE AS YOUR FIRST PROFESSIONAL ENGAGEMENT?
Answer. I feel that my first professional engagement will hopefully be a tour in the ensemble. However, the
area that I would want to peruse in the industry is a lead on the west end. But I would also love to do backing
dancing because I through rally enjoy dancing just as much as musical theatre but defiantly a variety between
dance and musical theatre jobs.

2. WHAT DO YOU FEEL YOU NEED TO WORK ON TO SECURE YOUR FIRST PROFESSIONAL ENGAGEMENT?
Answer. I think I need to work on my acting skills to make it as strong as my singing and dancing.

3. DO YOU FEEL YOUR IMAGE CURRENTLY REPRESENTS THE AREA THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO WORK
IN?
Answer. Yes, I feel that my current imagine is what I will be sticking with and fits the job types. I think I could
be a range of ages so that will be good for musical theatre and for more predominantly dance I think that I
have an okay physic that would suit multiple shows. I am happy with my hair colour as I would never change
from blonde.

5. DO YOU FEEL THAT YOU ARE FULLY PREPARED FOR BOTH VIRTUAL & PHYSICAL AUDITIONS?
Answer. Yes, I think that I am prepared and by the end on third year defiantly. I just need to expand on my
vocal rep. with Camron Jacks lessons I will feel more than capable for self-tapes.

6. HAVE YOU STARTED TO COLLATE MATERIAL IN PREPARATION FOR YOUR VOCAL/DANCE REEL?
Answer. Yes, I do have bits that I would use dance wise but singing I do not.

7. DO YOU HAVE A PLAN OF ACTION AND TIMELINE TO ENSURE THAT YOU ARE INDUSTRY READY
UPON GRADUATION?

Answer. I don’t have a set plan that has been written down, but I know what I need to work on and gradually work on
it through third year for example my vocal rep needs to be expanded to fit a variety of goners. I think I will be industry
ready upon graduation.

8. HAVE YOU STARTED TO RESEARCH AGENTS WITH A VIEW TO REPRESENTATION?

Answer. Yes, I have started to look. On of my aims would be ‘Michelle Blair Management’ but I understand that she is a
massive agent so it would be difficult to get. Also, I have looked into boutique agent because they are very good for an
all-rounded area, such as adverts, TV work, dance and musical theatre.
