English Iii (3-4 HRS) - Final Project Talk Show
TALK SHOW
OVERVIEW: Create and record a talk show program where one of you will pretend to be a famous
person (soccer player, actor, actress singer) and the other will interview you about some the different
topics listed here.
It is important to create questions, interview like, and these questions should include the grammar
topics worked in class. This can be based on imaginary situations depending on the celebrity.
Eg: where will you go? what do you do? what should you play?
You will prepare a background to be displayed that represents and interview environment Eg: (Suso’s
show, Jimmy Fallon’s show) that you will show during the oral presentation of the project. Be as creative
as possible.
You will present prepare some slides about the topics you’ll talk about. that you will show them during
the oral presentation of the project.
During the oral presentation, you need to mention why you recommend the games, movies,
celebrations and activities you’ll talk about and give detailed information considering the grammar
topics mentioned before.
Project Preparation
PART 1:
You must prepare a script to help you organize your ideas and complete each of the points to be
evaluated in the project.
You have to upload your script in the Moodle task Self-Study Activity: Final Project (Script) by 27
October 2021.
PART 2:
After your script review, you will record your parts and create a video to share with the class.
This recording has to be uploaded to Youtube (unlisted video) or on Vimeo and the link to the video will
be shared in the Moodle task Self-Study Activity: Final Project (Video) by 16 November 2021.
Oral Performance
Please keep in mind the following points for your recording:
You CANNOT read directly off your script. The script is meant to help you prepare and be more
comfortable with your speech, but you cannot read from it during your recording.
You must speak clearly; be sure to practice as much as you can before the recording of your
performance.
You must record yourselves speaking, I must see your faces in the recording as you share your
parts of the performance.
You must provide visual aid in your recording. Be sure to accompany your oral performance
with photos, short video clips (with no sound), or other relevant graphics. Prepare a
PowerPoint presentation in advance to show these.
Note: I must still see you even while you share clips or images. We recommend that you record
your oral performance on Zoom and share the screen to present any visual aid you have
prepared.
You will have a time between 5 to 10 minutes to record your oral performance.
