    Given Data:

    Figure (1) shows a plan of a flat slab roof. The building consists of three
    typical floors.

    Fcu = 30N/mm2 Fy =400N/mm2


    F.C.+ Partitions= 3.5 kN/m2 L.L.= 3.0 kN/m2
    Marginal beam
    The floor height is 3.50m
    =(300*700)mm

    It is required to:

    A. Design the flat slab in both directions.


    B. Check punching shear for all columns (interior, edge and corner
    columns).
    C. Design the marginal beam in X-direction only.
    D. Draw details of reinforcement for slab on plan to scale 1:50.
    E. Draw details of reinforcement for the marginal beam in X-
    direction only.
