Mock Review
You are interested in becoming a food critic and have been given an assignment by
your school newspaper
to review a newly-opened Chinese restaurant. The editor of the publication instructs
you to consider
the following when developing your review:
• W hat did you eat and how was the quality of the food?
• W hat was the decor li ke and did it enhance or lessen the overall dining experi ence?
• How attenti ve and helpf ul were the staff in serving you·)
• Would you recommend thi s place to people you know'
At first, I would very much like to highlight the amazing quality of the food. Almost all
the dishes were impecable, with a mouthwatering presentation and extraordinary
taste . Although, honestly, the Meat Yakysoba let me down. I mean, it is a good meal,
but it sure isn’t worth all the hype.
As soon as you arrive in the establishment, you come face to face with a huge wall
filled with the most different aspects of the Asiatic cultures. It also has a small
playground where you can leave your children during dinner. Nevertheless, the
experience falls short. It just isn’t that special, and, in my point of view, there is a lack
of atmosphere. But this is a very small concern, considered that everyone in the table
liked it. I guess I am just way more critical.
As for the staff, the attendace was second to none. Honestly, I have absolutely no
complaints. Everyone was very kind, and the food arrived quickly. In addition, they
even gave us three free deserts as a gift in order to celebrate my mothers birthday.
