Business Plan Proposal: Executive Summary

Executive Summary
The shift to work-from-home and remote learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic are
exposing major gaps in computer literacy among Filipinos. It’s becoming increasingly difficult
to find reliable expertise without any form of referral method via company, employer, or relative.
This is what led us to develop The Hardware Clinic, a company dedicated to providing computer
and technical repair consultation (repairs, training, networking and upgrade service) to local
small businesses as well as home PC users in Tacloban.
Business Description
Due to the rapid pace technology is dramatically accelerating, it’s important to adopt to
the development of these changes. This is why repair businesses that require skilled and
knowledge work on computer and other forms of technological devices are constantly in demand
in the market to address computer-related issues. In Tacloban, the majority of people are
dissatisfied with the current options available to them. The Hardware Clinic is dedicated to
catering to the needs of small business owners and PC users by making competent IT
professionals one call away. We offer an affordable, on-demand service for all our customers, as
well as subscription-based maintenance to minimize new equipment expense for our business
clients. This option is also available for our residential customers, whom we are dedicated on
reducing the cost of repair and maintenance services on top of offering flexible meeting dates to
address their computer-related issues.
Marketing
Our marketing strategy to establish The Hardware Clinic will be through aggressively
exploiting our competitors’ weaknesses. This method will incorporate the use of social media
and traditional marketing strategies such as banners and billboards in anticipation for business’
launch, as well as early bird vouchers and diagnostic services for our first 20 customers. We will
run large ads in the business section of the local newspaper wherein The Hardware Clinic’s
advantages will be listed (on-site service, competitive rates, and quick response and turn-around
times). Shortly after, we will minimize ads and instead focus on our niche market through
smaller direct-marketing campaign to target small business owners.
We will employ the use of computer-related professions to advertise and endorse our
services to others in order to stimulate "buzz" about our up-and-coming business. Periodic
advertisement will be made following the launch in order to further establish the business and set
ourselves apart from our existing competitors in the market through sales promotions like
discounts and limited-time offer sales within the first year. With our persistent marketing
strategy, we are confident that this will stimulate “buzz” through referrals from our existing
clients, otherwise known as “word-of-mouth,” to generate business traffic. As this point in time,
we expect a steady growth among PC users to avail our services who either saw a promotional
advertisement or through the referral of a previous client satisfied with our services. We also
intend to capitalize on the upsurge of data privacy concerns among internet users by promoting
the anti-spyware application that we have developed – this method is expected to be effective.
