Executive Summary
Car parking problems has become a challenged in Towers at Wyncote due to increase
in personal cars with the constant parking lots. The management also has failed in
expanding the parking lots since there is a vacant space for growth, all this have led to
the parking problems in the city.
Despite the existence of Quest parking most of the quest park their cars at the
community parking since the gate personnel are relaxed and more so the entrance to
the quest parking is far from the residents place hence a lot of time will be wasted
walking to the quest parking lots.
Parking lots have been a challenged especially to the community due to congestion and
poor management caused by the managers and the users, quest are to be using quest
parking lots so as to reduce congestion in community parking but this will happen if
quest parking is improved by creating a near entrance and improving on the gate
security personnel so as to avoid laxity.
Planning should be adhered fully when constructing a parking lot so as to maximize the
available space fully, also Underground parking lots should be constructed so as to safe
on space. Technology should be applied by management in order to regulate quest
parking at the community's parking lot more so, CCTV should be used to monitor the
laxity of the gate personnel in discharging their duties strictly.
INTRODUCTION
Nowadays, the parking problems have been one of the most discussed topics by the
general public. In many apartments around Towers at Wyncote, the parking problems
are becoming increasing. This is because of each day new vehicles increase in such
area without increase in parking lots. The cars who may have book parking lots get
enough space to park and those who miss due high number cars being park opt to park
in residential area. Which make lines of roads weaker making pass ways blocked even
during emergencies especially in the case of an ambulances. The local government of
Wyncote should come up with policies which will try to cab the situation of parking lots
problem. First they should construct a big parking lot which will to be sufficiently enough
for many cars, secondly the residential parking area should be designated to manage
and avoid illegal parking and to give more space in a residential area. Though despite
this policies implementation may be low because constructing public parking lots and
putting up resident parking area may have some limitations. This issue of parking lots
problem should be address properly since it will cause more and more issues to
workers in Wyncote. Workers who commute to their work in Wyncote by car is currently
being exposed solely to disadvantages at their work place due to parking related issue
between workmates over parking lots. Unlike in Lynnwood gardens parking lots has low
issues of parking lots problem due to strict management on limited parking spaces
which should be applied in Wyncote too since it is more convenient and low cost
solution.

Wyncote should all time adopt a very strong management that can lay down rules that
will be applicable both in indoor parking and outdoor parking. The guest should be
strictly informed to park in their indoor parking to avoid congestion in a residential area
and any quest found parking in residential area be charged fully. This will only be
application if strict rules are put in place by the management of Wyncote. The
government too should install CCTV in ever parking area to monitor those who break
rules, even though rules should be lay down government also should all time be
knowing about the increase in the number of cars in the country, this will allow the
government to prepare on parking lot space. Businessmen too should be mandatory be
informed to create parking lots to their clients to avoid parking besides the road which
cause congestion. High buildings like supermarket, banks and government offices
should reserve parking lots.in this research we will be able to able to highlight problems
and causes and generally solutions to cab the parking lots problem in Wyncote.
PARKING PROBLEM
Parking facilities is one of the road necessities, without ample parking space road transport may
not operate amicably, this is a situation in Towers at Wyncote, there is imbalance between the
number of vehicles both private and public with the parking system. There is high demand of
parking lots caused by controllable measures especially if compare to Lynnwood Gardens
whereby there is good management of their parking lots.
Wyncote should improve on their parking lots since it is a sign of welcome when travelling to a
place especially for quest travelling to the Towers. More so ample parking space will help in
reducing accidents which might be caused by poor parking and congestion in the parking lots.
Parking program should also be generated so as to accommodate all the tenants in the area
since most people operate at their own different time. Convenient and affordable parking are
considered a sign of welcome

CAUSES OF PARKING PROBLEMS

Inadequate parking lots: parking lots are insufficient in Wyncote areas; this has largely causes
congestion of cars in parking lots. This arises when only there is small space but many cars,
which need to be park by clients before engaging in their daily duties. This results to
uncontrolled congestion in Wyncote
Mismanagement of parking lots: this occurs when quest opt to parking in residential areas
hence they found that their usual parking place is full. However, with these residential clients
who usually park at their resident site opt to fixed their cars too because they will otherwise.
This will cause mismanagement of lots.
Reluctant of gate personnel in allowing guest to parked at community parking lots more private
vehicles leading to congestion. This may result when security personnel are bribe by quest to
allow them park in their illegal areas. Hence Wyncote apartments will face a challenge in
controlling and eradication fully the parking lot problem

SOLUTIONS TO PARKING PROBLEMS

Increase parking lots- To reduce parking problems, parking lots should be increased so as to
accommodate all the private and public cars. The more the parking lots are increased the
congestion problem will be reduced hence accommodating all the quest and the community
parking. Parking lots might be increased both indoors and outdoors in Towers at Wyncote as
done in Lynnwood.

Establish minimum parking requirements to control quest parking- Minimum requirement

should be put across so as to regulate the quest which parked at the community parking lots,
these regulations will guide the gate personnel in controlling the entrance to the parking lots at
the same time guiding the community.

Increase on-street/curbside parking provision to reduce the congestion in the parking lots
This will help in creating ample parking which is relatively cheap to the community as well as to
the quest in Towers at Wyncote, this should be facilitated by the government and those managing
the lots so as to reduce the pressure on the resources since this will help them to reduce the
personnel employed in the parking lots.

Increasing on-street parking to the community parking- The local government may increase
on the street parking so as to help the community parking lots also this is cost effective and can
be managed easily by the local government. This might be done on a parallel scenario of which it
will help the government in raising revenue which might led to economic development in
Towers at Wyncote.

Subsidizing off-street parking initiative by the government –This will attract the community
and reduced parking in the Towers at Wyncote, the off-street parking will be economical and
effective.

Adding overflow facilities especially for the quest parking

Quest parking lots should be increased and be managed well so as to accommodate all the quest
more so be expanded near the community parking lots.

Installing CCTV and other technologies- This will help in improving the security around the
area also gate personnel should be trained about various techniques used to control the entrance.

RECOMMENDATIONS

Implementation of rules and regulations guiding the purchase options which will help in
controlling the number of private cars in Wyncote Towers and prevent further decrease of
supply-demand contradiction.

Management should be strict and develop some mechanisms to regulate and guide all the car
owners in the parking, these regulations will also guide the gate men so as to be strict in directing
the quest to their parking lot

Entrance to the quest parking lot should be constructed near to the community lot so as to save
on time which could have been wasted walking to the parking lot by the quest.

More parking lots should be constructed in the existing spaces so as to maximize the available
spaces fully and avoid unnecessary congestion in the community and quest parking lots as
security in the parking lots is being improved also.

Underground parking should also be constructed so bas to fully utilize the available spaces fully
other than wasting it in which it will end up taking few cars.

CONCLUSION
We have shown in this research that the problem arises due to reluctance in the entire
management system failing to lay down rules that could better the parking lots problem. We
have however notice that the quest has been in forefront in leading to parking lot problem
because of they perceive busy schedule especially when they notice their indoor parking area is
full and therefore prefer to park in the residential area. This will heavily cause congestion day in
day out. Furthermore, the entire security has never come up with digital technology which will
can used easily to cab the situation like to notify when the space is full reduce over parking. The
space however is the pandemic of all. Since Wyncote is a growing area new buildings for
business and government offices is majorly install forgetting to put up parking lot. This has
highly contributed in congestion leading to insufficient control by the management.
 Therefore, the aforementioned problems can be easily solving if the management and parking
clients agree to come together and follow the lay down rules. The management too should all
time install software booking security to allow clients book spaces and when full the software
will stop admitting more, this will give conducive environment to both guest and community
people. Furthermore, as we mention government should increase parking lot space and should
be constitutional Mandate to every big building like banks, supermarkets to preserve the
parking lots for their clients. With this remedies the all solution of parking lots will be reduce or
eradicated fully.
