1) If you click on several factions, rather than just choosing one and starting the
game, the mod will crash (to counter this choose the faction you want to play
first, then start the game).
2) When you try to play a Custom Battle and set the Period to "All" the mod crashes
before you can select the units. This is because the AoR system makes more units
available to each faction than the Custom Battle can handle. If you wish to play a
Custom Battle you need to set the Period to "Early".
##Version history##
2.0: I've made some major changes to the recruitment. Now light units can be
recruited from castles without military buildings, while mailed or better units
require specific buildings (this is so a fortress is not needed to train a mailed
knight). Other major changes are the steppes have a new roster; there are several
new brigandine units; and Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia, and Bulgaria have been remade to
be more historically accurate.
I'd also like to thank cedric37 for making the new interfaces, background
maps, splash screens, and all his work towards improving the appearance of this
mod.
1.6: thanks to the releases of many units by Tsardoms Total War, Broken Crescent,
and Ming Dynasty mods I have dramatically improved the unit roster of most of the
Middle Eastern and Indian factions.
I have also been able to add the 970 Eras campaign to this mod and improve
the factions symbols of many of the factions.
1.5.2: updated the Russian and Polish units and fixed some bugs.
1.5: I have remade the Ming, Joseon, and Thai factions so they are more
historically accurate. I have also remade the soldiers in south east asia so they
more accurate represent Burma, Indochina, and Indonesia. The Middle Eastern
Bodyguard has also been remade and the African factions now have their own
bodyguard. Finally the European factions have been remade so they have more late
period soldiers, such as musketeers, pikemen, mounted gunners, and light cavalry.
The Mongol sound files have also been fixed so they now speak when performing
actions and the Meso-American factions also have new sound files. The east asian
factions also have new strat and battle music. Some parts of the 1547 map have also
been remade.
Finally I've made a .bat file that works with Vista. The conquest VISTA.bat
should allow anyone with Vista to copy files and change from one campaign to
another. XP users should use the conquest XP.bat.
1.4: I have completely remade the Steppe, Middle Eastern, and Indian unit roster to
more accurately reflect the armies of these regions using units from the Rus2 mod.
I have also edited some of the Ming Dysnasty units so they look more Joseon and
added them to the Joseon faction.
Also the map for the 1546 campaign has been remade so that several European
cities are now in the correct place. I have also changed some of the start
positions in the 1080 and 1200 campaigns.
1.3: I have added the 1080, 1200, 1300, 1400, and 1500 campaigns from my Eras mod
to my Conquest mod. This brings the total number of campaigns to 9. I have also
updated the Chinese units so they more closely resemble the Ming Dynasty soldiers.
After adding these units I recalculated the armour values for several Asian
factions.
Also there are three new resources: tobacco (North America), chocolate (South
America), and salt (world wide).
1.2: I have added several new Central and Eastern European units from the Magyar
Mod and Bulgaria Total war, and remade my Indian units so that they look less like
Aztecs and more Middle Eastern. I also moved Geshen, so it is no longer
inaccessable.
Other changes are that the mod now uses Real Combat 1.8 and every unit now
has its own officer and flag bearers. Also the more elite and late units have
different flags.
1.0: fixes the bugs in the 0.1 version and adds the Empires Campaign, based on the
1500 campaign of my Eras Total War mod.
0.1: all the bugs from the beta release have been fixed and several new mods have
been added. This version contains the Crusader and Renaissance campaigns; based on
the 1200 and 1300 campaigns of my Eras Total War mod, respectively.
Beta: beta release. This mod only contains the Crusader campaign and is based on my
Eras Total War mod. May contain some fatal bugs.
